Anybody know about the 22b body?

I would like to take my 99Rs and make it look like a 22b, complete with the flared fenders, wing, bumper and anything/everything else necesarry to complete the look. I don't know where to find the fenders and other asorted bits though. Can anybody help me on this, it is part of a major project on my car.

break out the bondo and fiberglass
coz there's no way you're going to turn your RS into a 22b without it :)
there are no fender flare kits
no sideskirt kits
no rear quarter kits...
you can get a semi close front bumper replica
but that's.. it....

What about importing the fenders, bumper, etc. from Japan. I know it would be expesive but... I don't care how much it cost.
surely the wing is available?
any body know a good bodyman that can fab some really nice flared fenders?
I don't think bondo and fiberglass will work, to much flex.

find a vin for a 22b... then you can get replacement parts but hey hey hey gonna be MAD expensive. at least genuine.

fiberglass... yep. :)
that front bumper isnt even close....
22B front bumper is grafted in to the grill
www.japanparts.com has a much better setup for the front bit....
and personally. i'd recommend avoiding fiberglass bumpers.
ever see what happens when you knick, brush, flick a pebble, into fiberglass???
for vent covers, grill and maybe fog covers... okay
but not something like a hood, lip or bumper
they will just get destroyed.

You can get a replica wing, thats about it. SOJ will not sell you parts from the car unless you have a valid VIN. This has been covered so many times, people need to learn to search.

Here is a company overseas that offers bare fiberglass bits for sedans to have 22B style flares.
http://home.kimo.com.tw/hjwangz/product.htm
It's midway down the page. No idea if they still sell them or anything, just came across this last year and book marked it. Company is called SEMIforged. Click the news link for a small pic of it installed on a car.
Would be something down the road that I'd like to do to my swapped wagon. It's way down the road though. Many more important things left to do first.

because there ain't
if you want solid, prepare $2k per side (and I mean each fender) for the genuine one + commision for a 22b owner.

Have you never made plans only to have circumstances change on you? He has had a lot of misfortune and think that he is doing well starting a buisness on his own. He doesn't have any large company backing or he would have this done by now.

check out this site j-garage.com. i spoke to one of the guys and got a pretty good quote for 1,200 bucks.you will have to cut your quarter panel and will need some professional installation but it's about 99% accurate.they always have them in stock too, so you should have no problems with waiting....good luck man and hope you can post pics as soon as your done with the project.

AFAIK, Aerosim is the only vendor to offer a decent-looking kit; I'm sure stever is planning to integrate the front grill with the bumper. Take a look here: http://www.aerosim-research.com/subaru/kit_pics_6.html Unfortunately, it's not ready yet. Gruppe-S had a fiberglass kit for about $700.00 but I can't comment on the quality. The ht-auto kit does not have the rear fender flares; it has bulges that do not really widen the car. Trial makes a wide-body kit that looks decent but it costs around $7000 - 8000.
You cannot buy genuine 22B flares unless you have a 22B VIN. You could try searching for a wrecked 22B though.
