Awesome Pike's Peak Pictures

Check out the link for great pics taken by my brother:

Unfortunatley we only got to see half of the hill climb since we encountered hail, snow, and lightning in the afternoon on the upper part of the mountain. Because of that, they moved the finish line well below all of us and we sat in our car until the race finished.
Anyway, here's a teaser of what we saw:

Very cool shots indeed! Thanks for sharing!
Anyone know when this is going to air on tv? Hope I didn't space and miss it.

Amazing pics! What kind of camera?
| Hota | 06-29-2004 01:32 PM |
My brother took these pics with a Canon 1D (Mark 1) body and mainly with a Sigma 20mm f/1.8 lens.

Thanks...he's quite the amature photographer. I believe he used aperture priority to set the focal length. The camera then automatically selects an appropriate shutter speed.
Check out his pics from the US Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago:

I think Climb Dance was filmed over 2 years. Most of it was Ari in 1988, but I believe some of the footage was Robby Unser in 1989.

Yoshihiro Oi is my man.
He stopped his Zoil/Zele Top Secret 350Z car by our group just uphill of the tarmac on the picnic grounds and waived us over to shake his hand. He actually stopped for us.
This guy was immersed in the thrill of Pike's Peak. My hat goes off to this man.

Yoshihiro Oi was definitely one of the more exciting drivers to watch. He had the crowd gasping at how sideways he got his car. On the hairpin approaching Devil's Playground, I thought for sure he was going to spin. His style is definitively Japanese drifter.
Check out this picture. You'll notice his front tires are traveling along the path of most other car's left tires and his rear tires are traveling along the path of most others' right tires!

Great photos. The photography is there, so as long as he's a good businessman he should have no problem as a pro. I've been on/off lately on the pro stuff, because I have no business skills :o & doing this to make money kindof takes the fun out of it sometimes.

Unser was only mentioned as a Peugeot driver in 1989, not as the one who is actually acting in the film
