Best place to find some WRX-RA STI V6 seats.(pic)
I know SPD(Mike S.) can get them for about $1300. I was wondering if there was anywere ells I could look. I haven't seen them anywere at all. I've also been looking for some better pics than the ones on the SPD sight, so if you have some could you pm me or just post them, thanxs. :D

Buy some sparcos and save the money. You can always get them colored to match, if that's the concern. The newest sparcos are really quite amazing.

After buying brackets for the Sparcos and dealing with the install hassle (not HUGE hassle, but not bolt-in), you won't be very far ahead money-wise versus the STi seats. Sparco Torinos are still $600 per seat, two seats plus shipping plus brackets will be near enough to $1300; most likely over.

Well...
I've looked at the Sparcos and I like them but I think I like the STI more, I mean look at them. I've never sat in them but man do they look cummfy. They are a direct bolt on and I like that too. After getting the Sparcos and the brackets and get them covered to look like the STI's I'm sure it would be way over $1300.
Plus I'm going for the whole STI thingey.
Accurit::: What kind of price could you offer for them. I'm only looking for the red ones, new or used.

yeah i like the sti ones...my friend willie in ny had them in his old rs and transfered them intohis new wrx and i sat in it....and WOW i want em very very much....only reason why i didnt have them yet, cuz of the price....but now i think i maybe able to get them for cheaper...
i ll keep ya posted.....i do have some konig seats for sale...

heh heh. I know that guy and just talked to him in person last week... his replacement ride is a Supra Twin-Turbo. I don't think he misses that Impreza [b]too[/b] too much.... although he and I wax nostalgic about it once in a while. :)

Thanks Accurit, no hurry though. I'm planning on getting them sometime this year. I'm just doing some research. I could get them as soon as next month but its looking grim.

You guys do realize of course, that your going to end up with a relatively non-adjustable seat in the drivers position.. and your passenger is going to end up with all those phat adjustment controls. The beauty of putting seats from a rhd car into a lhd car.. :(

So you really wouldn't be missing anything. It still has the slider and the back is adjustable. You just don't get thoughs really nice stiffness setting and height settings.
O-well I don't mind.
Maybe when I get them I'll look in to putting the left one on the right and the right on on the left, I'm sure it can be done.
The controls would be right by the e-break though.

All you need to do is change the rails from the STi seats...you use a Forester seat rail assembly and attach it to the STi seats. It costs some $$, but (in Rob Schneider's voice from "The Waterboy") YOU CAN DO IT! :lol:

Sorry so long
The reason why Mike Shields gets them is because he has a contract with Prodrive in England. They get new Version 6 cars from Japan and modify them for use as Rally cars. The interiors (seats, steering wheels, etc.) are stripped and Mike buys them and sells them to us. He only has a limited set of seats available, as Prodrive does not make a lot of Rally cars on a consistent basis. They are not new, that is correct. However, you have to figure they are in mint shape, as they only have been sat in maybe a total of 10 times. STi seats new will cost youa lot more than wht Mike sells them for. He is the only vendor that can get them at such a price. Although TRI can get them (and I am in no way saying their service and business is not the same as Mike's...it is actually great), you will have to pay A LOT of money for thsoe seats. The only way you can get them cheaper than what SPD is selling them for is to actually find someone in Japan, Australia or here that doesn't want them. Like I've said before, I've gotten my front and rear australian WRX seats for $800US. I just saw the guy's post on the MRT Classifides.
