yeah www.autopia-carcare.com is a place for beginners

I prefer zaino though :D
NYEJ25 11-18-2003 07:56 PM

Zaino, hands down.

Klasse, even more hands down.

I've gotten good results from Meguirs gold class liquid wax... it's cheep and you can get it at wal-mart, unlike zaino, which you have to order and its spendy as hell...
PlatinumPRM 11-18-2003 10:39 PM

You'll most likely get as many answers as there are different brands of wax. That being said, the brand I have been using for years is Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax (Online and catalog.)
Jasvboost 11-18-2003 11:22 PM

Zaino - do a search for the name. You'll see many very happy users. And when you factor how much you love your car and you want the best at any cost, Zaino is not an expense but an investment with a return.

Good way to explain it ;)

PM me if you want shiny pics :D :D
SDscooby 11-19-2003 12:55 AM

Seriously a Zaino vendor should get his ass on NASIOC, he could make so much money. Every two days someones asking a question about wax or a paint care related question. Everyone here raves about Zaino, damn I should be selling the isht.
gerbs 11-19-2003 01:01 AM

Apply for a job :)

Funny you mention that cause they have always been low key. Just till recently have they officially opened online shopping. It was all mail order and without the advertising. Just from word of mouth they have been raved by everyone on the net. If it works don't try to fix it.
Kean 11-19-2003 12:41 PM

There are may good products out in the market. I'm currently using Zaino and like the results.
Full_Clip 11-19-2003 03:18 PM

Meguiers works well, but there seems to be a good support for Zanio (never used it). Who has shiny pics, maybe some nice butt shots?

Full_Clip doesn't tamper with cheese.

That's an absolutely beautiful finish. I've never really used anything expensive, but for something quick that smells good, I like the Zymol cleaner wax. Readily available almost anywhere too!

Has anyone used 5 Star Shine?:

Meguires show car glaze and I believe #26? Their hi-tech professional paste wax.

Zaino, nothing else.

It's not a wax; It's a chemical protectant.

Sap will literally bead off like water.
WRXmy02 11-20-2003 05:53 PM

Used them all....in short

Protection: Liquid glass {not a wax} Acid rain, berry bird poo and
winter salt ---your covered with this.

Shine: AFTER using a good protectent---- Zaino's ..nice wet shine
Down side to this is dirt sticks a bit more than others.

DO GET a Cable porter Dual Action polisher..No swirls and very E-Z
to use.
volkl23 11-20-2003 06:08 PM

Klasse Twins all the way for ease of application and overall protection. Like Zaino, you can add as many layers as you want to make the finish that much more durable and shiny. I have 3 coats of it right now and it works wonders!
OneManArmy 11-20-2003 07:23 PM

I am still trying to decide.

Been a mothers user and zymol.

Looking into zaino...if someone could get him on here and get a package deal I would do it in a minute.

I started using s-100 as a topper....wonderful. I will take pictures after my next major detail...which will be after I get my clear bra put on so soon....s-100 comes in a spray can now and it's dope. So fast....if you are in a rush and don't have the time to spend a couple more hours with a paste toper...after wax....this stuff is sick. waxed and then used this on my scoop and wing..just to see the difference...big difference.
JDM 3SGTE 11-20-2003 07:28 PM

if you have white dont bother with the expensive wax. it doesnt really make enough of a difference to matter. i just use meguiars step 3. get step 1 if you want but step 2 is a waste.
modvp 11-20-2003 08:55 PM

I have had nothing but success with liquid glass.
modvp 11-20-2003 08:59 PM

The liquid glass is not cheap though. It can be purchased for about $17-20 per 16 oz bottle. It's been said that seven coats of liquid glass are equivalent to about 1 clear coat. Not sure if that is actually true.

Everything you need, and nothing you won't need. :)
grimm 11-22-2003 10:40 PM

I have used for many years a wax called Zymol. You can get the cheaper version of it from some automotive chains but if you want the really good S**T go online and look for it. They have different formulations. http://www.zymol.com/ This stuff is better than anything ive seen. It will make the car so slick that you cant put a bottle of it on the hood of your car without it sliding off. Ive used alot of waxes.. this is it
