CC-B??

I never heard of them.
Could you post some pics of their kits?
Unless it's a company that sells other companies kits.

They are called CC-B Automotive Styling, and they are sell the Orciari "body kits."
Hazdaz 04-07-2002 09:03 PM

Oh, dude, keep us updated on this (I almost finished my taxes, and I think its not gonna hurt TOO bad, so I might be able to afford their kit this month).
krave 04-07-2002 09:18 PM

Looks pretty nice, not too flashy
Subies 04-07-2002 09:26 PM

erice1984 04-07-2002 11:29 PM

ya I have heard many good things about it, and for our WRX buddies it's only 365 bucks :) for the RS guys and GC8 its 375. Not bad though. I hear their kis are not made of fiber glass, it's something else like the urethane or whatever that they use to make bumpers with.

Here is the website: www.cc-b.com

I will try to get down to their store tomorrow, or tuesday.

I'm very interested in what you think of their customer service and product... looks like this kit was designed in Italy, and gives a very alternate look to the car. I was leaning heavily on Paul's very nice OEM replica kit for around the same price, but after seeing this one in silver,

The boss (my wife) approved the purchase when I have the cash again. It seems very affordable, highquality fit/finish (from pics), and if it truly is urethane, that's all the better!

First I have to fix the dented hood :( damn rude people that do crap to cars and don't take responsibility for it.

Bump, still want to hear about your experience with the shop :)

just got the roof scoop great looking needs slight sanding but all in all wicked for $97. little disapointed that I have to drill through my roof to mount it but it'll be worth it.
erice1984 04-08-2002 08:01 PM

Wow.. looks nice Jakester! I didn't get out to the shop today, I had to do a little shopping to update the computer, and get a few things for school. I will try tomorrow.

Thanks for being patient everyone :)

dude, make the scoop functional. then you can say ALL your scoops are there for function, not form

(not meant to offend any RS folks, i'm looking for an RS myself:D )

Don't drill anything... use some automotive grade 3m double sided tape... worked well for years on a number of factory trim parts for DSM's.

Now go spend some of the dough on the kit, I don't think your ejumaction is working too well :)
dRu888 04-08-2002 10:23 PM

uh...u gonna paint that??
CTwrx 04-08-2002 10:37 PM

That kit is nice... How much do you think it would cost to get the parts painted? Roughly.
jakester 04-08-2002 11:09 PM

of course I'm going to paint it. the paint won't be here untill wednesday though because that has to be shipped ground (slow). I ordered the paint from paintscratch.com blue and clear about $50. I don't want to drill it but this happened last night. I am affraid 3m will come off two easy for a thief. but it may be better to have just tape residue left on the roof rather than a huge hole.

ps i was able to buy a new badge from the dealer for $35 and had some touch up paint. the only pain was the 2.5hrs. of buffing. but cannot tell any thing ever happened now.
Vineet Singh 04-08-2002 11:31 PM

WTH... someone did that to your trunk badge? I got marks like that on my hood now from someone, you said you buffed it out? I also have 2 small dents though...

That sucks!

Yes, go with the 3m, that tape is much easier to remove (and you won't have any corrosion/water problems).
erice1984 04-10-2002 05:35 PM

Ok here is the scoop. The skirts & gfx are made of ABS Plastic, same as your bumpers are made of.

Customer service is great, this guy owns an 02 WRX and he wants to put some of these skirts on his own car! The only reason he hasn't yet is because he always sells all the ones he gets in.

I will probably end up buying the skrits from him just because he is close, and the stuff is at a good price, and looks good. Even if I had to have it mailed I would still get it, it's just simply a great price!

I feel very confidant in this guy.

I didn't get his name unfortunately, I think he posts on here too... I will ask later then you can ask him some more questions.

WrxSPD 04-10-2002 08:11 PM

Wow that is what my silver wrx could look like. That's is the one I
have been looking for, not 2 fleshy :D

Thanks for the great info.
jakester 04-10-2002 09:54 PM

just got the paint today I think the primer i used was too dark because the paint is a shade to dark. I'm going to let it dry overnight and put it out in the sun tommorrow to see if somehow it may lighten when it's completly dry.

the thing about the 3m tape the strongest i could find was the super grip and it is rated to 4in per pound taking into account the area i have for the tape it should have a 7pound holding limit. Will there be more than 7 pounds of upward lift at 80 going head on into a 20mph wind????? i would think so but the air may flow over top the scoop and not give as much lift.

no pic's yet tommorrow.
Greazymule 04-10-2002 10:03 PM

if ya ask me its pretty lame!

but wait... you didn't ask
Vineet Singh 04-10-2002 10:12 PM

Holy crap, I didn't know they were in Palatine IL... another reason to get it, I can go pick it up... they should be about 45 minutes from me... sweet!
Hazdaz 04-10-2002 11:30 PM

JAKESTER: Dude, I just wanted to say 2 things: IF you do put another coat of paint, it shoudl make it lighter (in actuality, it will just make the paint MORE visible, with the primer LESS visible - so if the paint is the right color, then thats whats gonna apear after it dries).
On the scoop - i REALLY hope that you do fasten it to your car - while it will make a nasty hole there, your scoop is going 2 get ripped off if you just use that 3M tape. As GREAT as that tape is, the part you got is MADE to suck in as much air as possible - thus LOTS `o force wanting to push it up and back - unless its secured REALLY GOOD. Also, the best 3M tape that I know of is called VHB 3M double sidded tape - use that stuff.
CC-B 04-11-2002 10:44 AM

Jakester,

I checked with Italy: do NOT install the scoop without using the center screw. You'll be prying the scoop (or any remaining pieces thereof) out of the tarmac in no time flat. And Orciari assured me they were talking from experience  .

I really like that kit. It looks great real smooth. If I end up getting a WRX I would definitely get it
imprezive one 04-11-2002 06:37 PM

do you know how much the wing is by itself? I'm liking it a lot. The kit looks clean but I could do without the hoodscoop.
