Sparco and cheap dont often collide in the same sentence
| NavySealSTI | 04-28-2003 08:36 PM |
Your best bet will be through ebay used, or some other form of auction. New sparco seats are damn expensive for a pair.

Yeah...
Sparco AND cheap is never in the same sentence...lol
Thanks for the replies so far..

I got mine for $1500 shipped. That includes the seats, sliders, brackets, and mounting hardware. I know that doesn't sound cheap but it's really not that bad. I had to wait 3 and 1/2 months to get them!!! It took forever to get the monting brackets made. Sparco was telling me that there is only company in teh USA that makes the mounting brackets for all the seat companies. That explains the long delay. Anyways, I ordered mine through Mid-Atlantic trading in New Jersey. They are an official Sparco dealer. I would recommend only going through an official dealer. If you go to the Sparco site, they will list all the official dealers. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Any replica's you all have found without a headrest logo?
| Costas | 04-29-2003 02:20 PM |
Im pretty sure you can cut them off with a razor (cut the stitches across the grain and pull them out of the fabric with tweezers...)
Then...get some Sparco logos and sew em on..

Primm Racing used to have Sparco Torinos, but I just checked and they only have the race seats as far as I can tell. They used to be $1050 (including shipping) for the pair IIRC.

Yessa ... I'm a gettin' back to work. I only took a second to get a drink. It's 140 degrees in here and I've been working for 84 hours straight.
I'm stuck here at my day job waiting for buggy software to crash. But, good news is I got my tax refund and lined up help to make the molds ... woo hoo.
BTW Dante Primm's a real nice guy and his Sparco prices are awesome.

Edit ... I was going to mention those too but I didn't know if you wanted race seats. Pretty sweet.

Well hurry up!
This guy over here:

Needs some new clothes...
Well as much as I would LOVE the WRC seats..I need to make sure I can put my rear passengers in (I dont think so though...)
I went through some nasty sciotic nerve problems with my jamex interior on my golf (non adjustable hard core straight up racing seats)...it wrecked havoc on my posture.
My back and legs SUFFERED...I dont know If this would happen again...with the WRC seats..(or if Im able to fit rear passengers in the car/height adjustability?) I ended up having to get a nice seat cushion for the hieght and my back problems..
LOL took me a week to find a pillow that was the right size, color, fabric..to match with the jamex!

At that price, I'd hold out for STI seats. You can usually get them for around 1200 shipped. Lot of money for seats though:p

I know exactly what you mean about the seats. My back is screwed up too. Two compressed discs in the lower lumbar (I think L3-L4-L5). I can sit in one piece seats but once I get out I'm in serious pain. I haven't tried either the Torinos or the Milanos, but I was going to go for either those or maybe the V7 STi seats. Gotta be blue though ... none of those red/grey STi seats for me.
Anyway, the fenders are a coming ...

I've heard from a few people that the bolsters on the Torino's wear quickly... Word to the wise...
| Costas | 04-30-2003 07:13 PM |
Yeah...My Recaro's bolsters in my old golf were GONE in less than two years.
I have plenty of experience with that

I just got off the phone with Dante, I wanted a price on the bracket/slider setup. He advised me to just do a custom setup. Much cheaper and lighter than the $300+ sparco mount setup.

can anyone tell me if the sparco torinos are, "Husky-guy friendly?" I've read that the sparco evo 2 seats are meant for guys over 200lbs. Can anyone vouch for this?
| DemiGod | 10-03-2003 06:19 AM |
actually sparcos are, cheap, if you compare them to whats out there. You can order these seats from super autobacs in so cal. I believe they ship out from their store, and they ave great prices on sparco products (they have a whole bunch of sparco invetory).

Torinos are not really husky guy friendly, but it all depends on your shape. I am about 165-170 and Torinos dont quite fit me comfortably in the low back (above the hip) area.
However, the Roadsters that are in my RS are like a glove (just dont try to get a big box in the back seat.

Cool. He's pretty much the best deal on Sparcos in the US because he gets them direct and bypasses Sparco USA. They've tried to sue him but I don't think they got anywhere. I'm a Sparco dealer and his prices are right around my cost.
