Haven't seen this wing on a WRX be4 but it's the same wing that i like, and I LIKE! hehe. I wanna get one so bad. I wonder what it'd look like on a blue WRX with the griffin kit and sti lip on it (hint hint).

It looks like a wing.....
I mean, I looks like any other gt style wing like those you can get from APR, arospeed, etc, in aluminum for about $400-500. Why pay three times as much for a "special" CF japanese wing that is very similar?

I like it..I was actually considering that wing but I would like to see a side view of the car before I can make up my mind. This wing actually is not that expensive is around $600. Do a search..I remembered reading about in the classified forum.:)

Yuck.

Its too much. If your car was primarily a track car it would be ok, but it looks like too much for the street. I actually prefer the spoilerless look.

The only GT wing I like it the STi CF one but it's too much money.
The good thing about that cusco wing is that unlike the local market ones, it bolts up in the stock holes, so no drilling extra holes.

Thanx for the info leo, I never knew about the whole bolting process, etc. I don't have to worry about the drilling now...YAY! Still dunno if the wing-less look would be better of if the gt wing would look better, hmmm...

well, only true track heads will appreciate it...I think you'll get teased more for it than praised...there are better looking models out there imho...it also looks very easy to rip off...thieves may like it.

My wing looks very similiar to that one - except I didn't get the "fang-toothed" one - mine's more trapaziod-shaped (the ends, I mean). Mine was that tall, but I chopped about 3" off of it cuz it was blockin too much rear-viz on the HW (always lookin for coppers). Right now its anodized AL, but I'll probably paint it this spring time - even though it already matches the Silver paint ALOT. I think it looks real sweet (espesially from the front and side... from the back it kinda looks weird).
If you get the one in the pic, I will warn you that you will wish it was shorter.

For 600 bucks I'd go spoilerless. I think it looks ok, except when yeah get close.. you'll see how cheap and heavy it is. Go for the CWEST GT wing($1800). It's a true performance wing.

I think it is both Fast AND Furious. Sorry, but an opinion was asked.
Seriously though, if you like it, go for it.

That wing is $480 from me.
They are made specifically for WRX and use stock mouting holes.
If you ask me, I don't like it that much. It is too "skinny". The pedestals are tall, the blade is narrow, the pedestals are too wide apart.
I had the twin-blade CUSCO GT2 wing (remember the Pre-sema pics?) on my WRX and I didn't like it as much either. That one has shorter pedestals and had a heavy top. Bad combo again, if you ask me. BTW, that wing os not much less that the GT Wing from Cwest for less that half a price. The only thing different about the CWest is that it is CF. The CUSCO wing is very adjustable and works very well. The butt is always planted. I can guarantee that.
I am getting a different one mylself. CUSCO. ;) You'll see. Something that I want. Not too big, not too tall, not too wide.

C-WEST!
If you must get a high touring type wing get either the CWEST or that carbon one by prova. However I don't think the prova is made for the GDA.
But the WRX should look clean. Besides you have too much weight to begin with.

i like it
I have the APC wing it is not as high as this one but it looks great to me. I do get alot of crap from people that call it "rice" but IMO it looks good.

WRXMONAO: I'll try to remeber to take a pic of it tommorrow when I'm @ work - my boss has a dig-cam, I don't.

Very nice wing. I will be getting one as soon as I can get the money together. Bottle said that he could get it for $470. A much better price than the STI one. This wing will cover the factory wing holes too.

RE: WRXMONTAO...
DAMN that took forever getting a digital pic of my car.
But anyways, if anyone is still interested, here's the wing on my car (I got a few other pics too). It's probably less than 1/2 as much as any of the other ones that where listed in previous posts.
I plan on possibly painting it in the spring time (even though its already almost exactly the same color as the car - so i MIGHT just clear coat it to make it shiny).

ooooh, i like that wing Hazdaz, do tell what kind it is, and is it GDA specific or can i put one on my GC8?
| Hazdaz | 02-26-2002 08:16 PM |
RE: STREET2.5RS...
I got it from SpoilersDirect, for under $250. There are actually a few different styles. Actually this one has been cut down about 3" - now its at a perfect height. I think it looks nice and different.
U lost me on the GDA/GCB question. ???

Actually, in the context of the white WRX shown in the first post... I think it looks alright..
God knows if you get any performance gains from it... but the look isn't nearly as bad as the silver, undecaled, WRX in some guys driveway.
