future GC8 Orciari owners

This is just a review of Orciari to let everyone know what is involved in fitting this kit to a US spec RS. I just got the Orciari bodykit for the GC8 RS' and this kit rocks. This is 100% ABS plastic and thick. the front lip fits without any modification. However, the sideskirts need modification if you have a 2dr coupe though, but it'll still work. What you need to do is shave off about a 1" strip of plastic off the back section to make it fit the door, as this kit is intended for 4 dr's. The great thing about the side skirt for GC8' is the fact that this skirt is ONE-PIECE, and the skirt actually wraps around and into the door sill for great lines. I was most impressed with this piece( after cutting it to make it fit). The downside about the skirt is, it calls for polyurethane adhesive to hold the skirt to the car. I may just end up using double-sided foam tape.
now, the hardest part was forming the rear spats to the US bumper. Orciari rear spats were designed for the J-spec bumpers, like a ver IV or less. To overcome this dilemma, I had to form and shave the middle of the rear spat to make it fit properly, without flexing the plastic too much.
IMO, the kit is well worth the labor involved to get it to fit. PM me if you have any questions as to how I shaved the plastic for a perfect fit.

cc-b.com sold me the Orciari kit I have. It was cheap too. Around $300 for the whole kit, front lip, sideskirts, rear spats. The rear spats required alot of heating and molding to fit cause they are meant for euro spec bumpers, but it was not too hard. Heat and clamping worked.;) Here's a couple of pics.

wow.. that really sucks. I actually talked to Eddy on the phone and he was pretty nice about giving me the price on the kit when I bought it. He had already raised the price, but i was PM'd a lower price, so I got that price.
As for the email thing, you are right.. he definitely needs to keep up with that as a vendor.
btw, don't you work for a Subaru vendor? Couldn't they try and import the Orciari stuff also? I mean I think they are great kits. Nicely made for a good price.

I agree with you, digitaltekniq, about Orciari being ignored- and I don't understand it at [I]all[/I] ! Their stuff rocks- and just as importantly, seems to fit great too.
Eddy was very prompt when I had some questions, many months back... but I'm still riding the fence;
1. mod the daylights outta my WReX (in which case CC-B gets my exterior mod funds), or
2. buy an STi.. (kinda depends on price)
Of course, if Orciari would just come out w/ some cool stuff for the "newer" New Age Impreza, I'd be all over that! (I think/hope).

been debating on this kit or going with a c-west front lip, skirts, and rear... I love the look of the c-west but this one was tempting because of the price... can you get some close up pics of the side skirts and what the car looks like from the rear? :)

Here's some shots right after I got my car tinted and before the CF hood. I had to lighten up the pic cause of the shadows.. but u can get some idea of how it looks. The rear spats are made for EDM and JDM bumpers so they don't actually fit right with the USDM bumpers. So I had to heat and mold them to fit. The sideskirts are bigger than the stock sideskirts and have a little "flare" towards the rear. The front lip fits perfect!

Heya Eddy... was wondering do you offer teh kit in individual parts? I noticed teh front lip was... but I might go one part at a time and/or mix and match kits... I do like teh skirts from this kit and was wondering how much each piece would be etc :) please post or pm me :)
