hello
any other comments?
MartinD 12-21-2005 10:07 PM

roughly 100-135 bucks for a "good" job....
Pete Holt 12-21-2005 10:07 PM

Make friends with someone in a real body shop so you can get a good deal on a paint job that will last. Stay far, far away from Maaco. Make sure they sand and prime them as well as paint them otherwise the paint will flake off.

zmaster 12-22-2005 12:57 AM

i know a person here who works in a body shop who does it for all the wrx's in the area for 80...does a good job too..
moforose3.0 12-22-2005 01:15 AM

I have the erebuni CF reverse cowl hood. I have a buddy that painted 2/3 of it and a new fender. The paint and clear coat costed $150 and he charged me $50 labor. Based on that, I would plan on close to $100 on paint/clear and then around a $100 or so on labor
Rokkit 12-22-2005 01:16 AM

If ya lived in the New England area I could paint them for ya for like 75-100 if anyone wants to charge you more then 100, they are out of their minds...

it takes like 2 seconds to prep those suckers.

Pm me if your interested

75-100? Nice, i'm lookin to get my sideskirts painted... I'm from Norther NJ. How far are you?
punk'd 12-22-2005 09:21 AM

It should be around 55.00 to 75.00 bucks. It would take about 30 to 45 min. start to finish
TarmacRally 12-22-2005 09:37 AM

It will be a bit more expensive but you should just buy prepainte sideskirst from the factory. THey're about $200. This way they come with a nice factory paint. Instead of paying 100-150 to do a repaint.

This is definately the best option. PM one of the factory vendors in the Vendor For Sale section, they'll hook you up (that's what I did at least).
Cashis 12-24-2005 12:18 PM

About $200 for my Blaze Yellow - professionally sand, flex primer, and many coats of paint + clear coat. I don't want them chipping down the road, and there weren't any OEM painted Blaze Yellow sides available.

Haha. That's funny considering factory Subaru paint is total garbage  Almost any repaint would be better than Subaru quality.
antny 12-25-2005 01:30 AM

I had mine painted for 50 bucks from my auto body place where I live but I have given this guy tons of business over the years with different cars.
lotarg 12-25-2005 11:04 AM

I don't want to change the direction of this thread, but does anyone know around what a quality job for both bumpers would cost?
Lachlan 02-01-2006 07:00 PM

Don't you have to get special paint for the side skirts that can move with the abs plastic without cracking?
