I need some quick opinions on some mods for my car...

What would you get if you were me?? Its gonna be one of these 3 things...
1. Kaminari Carbon Fiber hood SEEN HERE
2. Leather seats with seat heaters, This same style below but with "WRX" written in WRB color.

3. A big brake kit such as stoptech or even the AEM brake kit with 4pot calipers...
The leather seats would have to be bought by tomorrow because the GB ends tomorrow. Please help me decide please:( , my head is spinning.
Heres a pic of my car so you can imagine the hood, big brakes, or seats in it. Thanks! Any recomendations are welcome, I think I might try and enter some shows this year and see what happens. I have a crapload of power mods so please no more :-)

is that car lowered? if not, lower it, i guess...
maybe the cf hood for dressup, but since you said you have
powermods on it, why not get the brakes to stop the car?

Brakes or leather.
Your car already looks very good on the outside.

Depends on what you are in to. I would go with the brakes personally.

Well, right now i would go with the seats/heaters, it's been damn cold on the east coast as of late. These would please the eye as well as the ass !!
Now if was springtime,id say the brakes fr sure.lotta go needs some woah.
Far as the carbon fiber hood goes,,im not a fan anytime of year.Your car is real clean lookin, leave it that way.
All of this: IMHO;)
Rudy:D
ps where is Glenmore Pa. ?? Near Philly?

i agree with jags....go with the seats. if youll be doing some racing or just overly aggressive driving you may want the brakes insterad but i think youd get the most out of the seats if it s a daily driver. the hood? nah. keep the scoop!

Sweet!
Thanks guys, these are the type of answers I was looking for and I appriciate all the comments and nice things. Especially from some well respected people on this board.
I was in a mix of whether or not the CF hood is too much for a business guy my age (21). I guess clients dont think its all that cool:D :p .
I now know its gonna be the seats or the brakes......
Im leaning towards brakes but they are so damn much for a decent setup:mad:
I got a quote today for Stoptechs for $1500. Im gonna look into them and make sure they are DOT approved and have dust seals on em....AEM makes a cool big brake kit that utilizes the stock calipers but then again I'll be stuck with the 2pots and Id have to spend more to get some STI 4pots.....
What to do, what to do...
Thanks again guys!

brakes!!

they not only improve the braking department..(derrr),,,but they also make your car LOOK good too.

Hey man! what's up??:D
go with the brakes, really. 4 pots front, 2 pots rear (yeah, I'm talking about STI:devil: )
I actually don't like the look of cf hood on WRB...my friend has one, don't spoil the car;)

In my opinion you should just upgrade your brake to a 4pot Subaru thus utilizing your stock calipers, and get a set of front Axxis Ultimate pads and steel brake lines. This will probably cost you a good $700 considering you do all the install.
As for the rest of the money, my vote goes to JIC Coilovers :D It will really slam your car like in the vivid car picture, and if you go to the track occasionally, it will change the way the car handles tremendeously.
But then again, if you do business, maybe the ride quality will be a little harsh for customers.
good luck str8out! either way your car looks awesome

i don't know. brakes are always nice to have as an upgrade, but leather? ooohhhh, that would be sweet. i say the leather, also, i used to have those rims on my Ac CL. ADR?

hood! braking is over-rated!

All I can say is that you have great taste. I want my WRX to look as good as yours at some point or another.
I strongly recomend against the CF hood. Some people think they look good...but then again a lot of people love windsheild washer LED's:rolleyes: The stock aluminum hood is fairly light anyways. If you want to save weight you could leave your spare at home, move the battery to the trunk, and remove all your excess insulation.
If I was in your position right now I would jump in on that leatherseats.com group buy. Search through the personal classifeids board and find a good deal on a brake kit too. I wouldn't drop $1500 on brakes. It seems so much for so little.
Good luck.
Pete.

Hey Brian, there's a GB going on right now for Brakes that are DOT compliant. They are a bit pricey but they might be worth checking out. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=308160 -James

get real seats.... some SRD's or something
| krazedant | 02-02-2003 07:43 PM |
I say go with the brakes, your car has the power, now u need something to help it stop. Better to drive safe than to have a car that looks nice but cant stop.
| Lowball | 02-02-2003 07:48 PM |
Dude! Get the breaks! The hood is sick but the trunk IMHO sucks. But that's just me. Breaks would make a great difference espically if you plan on track time.
Late, and you car is very nice.

Thanks for the opinions, links to group buys, and compliments. They are all appriciated. Im gonna order my brake kit this week. I am thinking of getting the AEM big disc's that come with new mounting brackets that relocate the stock calipers. Its a cheap big brake kit but uses the stock calipers so that kinda sucks.....
Im gonna think this one over but I'll be sure to post pics when I do.
Thanks again
