is there a placement templet for the jdm "imperza" badge on the trunk?
i took off my "subaru" and have no place to even start from.

Not for us average joes. PM Subiegal and ask if there is one that comes with
an ordered set of letters. If you are nice, she will probably get the dimesions
for you. You could also go to a dealership and just measure.

the IMPREZA rear badging is not an SOA part
ALL SOA trunk badges come with a template
i'm suprised the high priced IMPREZA badge does not.

Just measure up from the bottom edge to the bottom of the SUBARU lettering on someone elses car for reference, use a wax pencil to make a dotted line on your trunk as a guide, center the emblem in place where you like it and mark one end to square up the location for each letter. Apply emblem from markings on your trunk, then clean the wax marks off the trunk when done.

what does the "SUBARU' template look like?
does it cover the whole trunk?
if i can get my hands on one of those, i could maybe mod it to work with "impreza"

I just measured everything out and figured out from that where to put it, the reason the template wouldn't work is because SUBARU is 6 letters and IMPREZA is 7 letters so it won't be the same.

Yeah but if I were the OP I would still find a SUBARU template because you can at least use the template to give the distance between the bumper and the middle of the trunk and the middle to the top of the trunk. Then you could use a tape measurer and measure the spacing between each letter and then adjust the new measurement evenly to account for the extra letter.
Good luck.

Just got to a dealer when they are closed and measure it. Then you won't feel as weird as no one will see you. Go on Sunday or something.

There should be more subaru owners in your area that can help you out. Have you tried your local forum?

I am assuming the emblem is all independent letters with a clear sheet over them so they all go on enenly. What I would do is, 1. get some masking tape to make a straight line 2. measure from the bottom of the trunk(about half way) 3. Measure the emblem from end to end. 4. Measure the trunk in from the sides to center (same amount of space from letter to trunk edge.) The reason i use masking tape is cuz you don't have to clean anything off you car and when you measure the height you want you can make sure that everything is straight. You can use some thing else but that is what has worked for me in the past. hope that helps

^^^been thinking of doing everything with masking tape.
i guess the only messurement i need is from top to bottom.
where to put the bagde correctly in the center.

I did this when I got my STi. I can do the measurements when I get my hands on a measuring tape. Send me a PM to remind me.
