Is $275 too much for tinting a wagon?
Hey , i;m going to tint my wagon and I was wondering if 275 was reasonable. I'm going 35 percent, or maybe mayber 25, any thoughts?

yes it is too high. I wouldnt pay much more than $200

Waaayyy too much....first you want to shop around and make sure the tints have lifetime warranty...Llumnar or Llumar comes to mind...that's what I have on my car...never fades, scratchproof, no bubbles, etc.

just the rear windows?
i had all rears, front and strip done on the RS for $250ish....
was worth every penny!
high quality stuff and not one bubble!

it depends on what film and how many windows... I did all but the windshield and paid $250.

I did 35 in my saturn rear. I still feel it was too light. When I finally get enough money to tint I am going for something darker, probably 20 on the back 3, 50 on the front 2, and either 35 or 20 for the brow.

I paid $175 for all the windows execpt the front. 35% at Zeibart with the lifetime warrenty.

my wagon had all 4 doors, hatch, and rear side windows done in 5% lumar, with platinum flames into the back side windows, regular price for that is $280. thats AFTER paying the extra $20 for 5% tint and the extra $50 per window for the flames, so an extra $100 there... just to tint it in 35% would have been about $160...

I;m tinting every window...I assume if I pay cash, I can get him down to 250. It;s lifetime warrenty against everything.
I don't know whether or not to go darker though. 35 might be too light, but he says it will still look good, not get me pulled over and be managable at night. He said with dark interior, 35 would be good.
25 would be hard at night I assume, and possibly get me introuble with the po po.
By the way, my wagon has bbs rks and painted skirts. Should I do every window, or just the rear.

do them all (except the windshield of course) i dont like the way it looks when its tinted unevenly. in my opinion, if youre gonna go 5% in the back, do it up front to, and if youre gonna stay legal with 35% in front, then go 35% in back too, just keep it even looking. thats just my opinion though.

front 2 doors. The car looks good and it makes one
heck of a difference at nite.
Also since you didn't mention if the shop that
you are going to is the only one in town. If it is
then you only have 2 choices, him or do it yourself.
Since the shop that did my car is the only one around. I chose the lazy way and let him do it.
Price is relative.

I got the darkest level (18) on the back 5 windows and i think 38 on the front 2.

i got my wagon tinted for around $220 that's all four doors, side hatch windows and rear hatch...lifetime warranty...sounds high...but this is az...tinting charges are premium here...lol

I paid $220 to tint all 7 windows in our Volvo wagon with a lifetime warranty.
My advice would be to tint all windows except the windshield the same darkness.

any idea what the Lexus RS 300 uses as tints? it has that kinda chrome mirror tint...any opinions if that would look good on a black wagon?

Have tint prices gone up in the past few years or is there just a lot more glass on the wagons than I realize. I know I got my last car tinted (35%/15% front/rear) for under a hundred bucks (VW New Beetle)
