Looking for exact replacement of STI exhaust hangers... but stiffer.

I'm looking for exhaust hangers for my 05 STI... I want it to be exact length as the stock one as the position of my aftermarket exhaust is perfect... the only problem right now is that my exhaust seems to hit the rear diff every once in a while since the stock rubber hangers are pretty soft. Where can I get stiffer yet exact dimension exhaust hangers? Checked subydude.com and apparently they are out of stock with the kartboy one. Any suggestions? Thanks.

try japanparts.com they sell hardened ones I think.

I got mine from directly from Kartboy. The only problem was wrestling them on.

Did you get the regular ones or extra long?

I bought some regular size Kartboy hangers from Boxer4Racing, and they're virtually the same size as stock ones. This is on an '05 RS, but I would think the STi would be the same.

So your exhaust sits at exactly the same place as with the OEM hangers right? That's my only concern... I don't want the exhaust to sit lower or higher.

COBB has some urethane exhaust hangers that are the same as stock.

+1 for the Kartboys.
I used a combination of normal and long, since my exhaust is so odd, but they work great.

Grease up the Kartboys; they'll make the installation easier ;)

Well I got them with a Stromung exhaust, so it's a tiny bit different. But yes the hangers would make the exhaust sit in the same place as the stock hangers. They are a whole hell of a lot stiffer than stock though, so my exhaust is pretty well rock solid now.

They werent hard enough to warrent me paying someone else to put them on, but good luck. :)

Oh jesus please don't take you car to a damn shop to install pieces of rubber. Just spray them with some PB Blaster (Do a search if you don't know what it is), and push them on - I am a wirey little dude and I was able to do it with no probs. For the love of God don;t pay anyone to put those stupid things on.

kudos to anyone that can get a kartboy short off a prodrive muffler mount

^^^^I have done it . Bascially you have to drown it in PB blaster and pull as hard as you can. I punched myself in the face when doing it, but it was better than having to cut a perfectly god KB hanger.

i **HAD KB long exhaust hangers on my Greddy SP, and they were a pain to get it in and a pain to get it out....i used to hate how the muffler swung around when i drove behind other subies, but with this, oh man it doesnt move at aaallll. Here is a pic

Or you can try the STi exhaust hangers.
Same size as stock, a bit stiffer but not so stiff that they are a bitch to get on and off.

Exhaust hanging is much easier when there are 2 people to pull, pry, and beat the thing onto/off of the car. Anytime I have had a mod-related injury, it's been because I have been the only one working on the car and something has swung out, for fallen and hit me in the face, or head LOL
SHOW THE HANGERS NO MERCY PEOPLE  :alien:
