My new shift knob! part 1

rites 10-15-2005 12:17 AM

My new shift knob! JDM bling~
I'm sure someone will guess it pretty quickly. But lets see how long it takes to figure out. Seems like I'm one of two on the boards to have it, atleast thats what search seems to say.

Now I have a problem also, It doesn't line up right. How can I fix this? See how it's angled off?
chris-man 10-15-2005 12:55 AM

why does it look broken from the top?
civilone 10-15-2005 12:56 AM

What brand is it? It is kinda hard to tell.
Thumper23 10-15-2005 12:57 AM

go ahead and take a better shot of that, thanks
rites 10-15-2005 01:20 AM

I figured I'd post the darker shot to give a challange first...

I know my interior needs a clean! :furious:

Hey, nice knob. I got one too. It sucks how it doesn't quite sit forward. Mine is crooked as well.

Why don't you just find a thin nut that has the same threads and lock that thing down where you want it, or use loctite (red) on it in the position you want it?

Iggy
Xymox 10-15-2005 04:53 PM

Is that a turtle or a ladybug?!?!?!?!!?!?
neushane 10-15-2005 05:18 PM

i would guess turtle...specifically sea turtle. Someone correct me if I am wrong becuase I havent seen this knob before.

 and  because it's so obvious that they need to be laughed at
digitalboy40 10-15-2005 08:33 PM

oooo, the Tommy Kaira knob!!! I've always loved that one and the ARC one. Where did you pick it up?
adrive43 10-15-2005 10:32 PM

Got mine from AutoBacs Tokyo Bay but you can get one stateside. Try Bulletproof, JapanParts, or BoomPlusToys.net.

I'd rather not loctite the knob so I can re-sell it eventually. The nut idea is a good one but I don't really care all that much for logo orientation.

The wheels on this car are soo nice. Does anyone have any info on them in English? Size, brand, where in the US to get them.
adrive43 10-17-2005 09:32 PM

Those are official Tommy Kaira wheels. Email JapanParts.com for a shipped price quote from Japan. N/A in the US.
Silver '02 REX 10-17-2005 09:47 PM

Are they listed on japanparts.com site so I can find out more info?
civilone 10-17-2005 10:07 PM

Ok, it looks quite good.

Not sure. It's best to just send them an email. They respond pretty quickly.

hlanderr 10-20-2005 02:02 PM

the car is sick, but if he left the stock spoiler it would 2x nasty

im just not into aftermarket spoilers..... makes is seem kinda like a honda to me

thats just me though
subeesteve25 10-20-2005 09:21 PM

Dude, just put on my momo shift knob, that thing is so sweet. It just feels so nice that ball feeling instead of the stock knob. It makes it feel like your driving a faster car with just the feel of it. So stocked I got it, highly recommend new shift knob.
