NEW 2003 WRX feature
How come no one has mentioned this yet? There's a exciting new feature in the 2003 WRX. DUAL VANITY MIRRORS!!!!!! As mentioned in the latest Car & Driver.

I think I have dual vanity mirrors in my sedan too. Got it in December.

Friend of mine owns a WRX Sedan with dual vanity mirrors. My lady-friend hates my car because it doesn't have a vanity mirror on her side. What's the going rate for a passenger-side sun-visor?

I've got a 02 WRX and have dual vanity mirrors. Must've been added on late in the game of the 02's :rolleyes:

The 02 RS only has the driver's vanity mirror.
So I went & bought a cheap clip-on for the passenger side, since I'm usually the passenger when the bf drives it. :p

the 03 WRX has a lighted ignition cylinder, thats the only difference, ive heard of.

The visors in my car are the cheapest pieces of s#$t I've ever seen. Its a little embarassing, actually. My buddy opened up the passenger side one the day I got the car and was like "...you gotta be f#%#g kidding me..." :( I need to replace those...

I just checked my first batch WRX and it has both as well. Maybe they were referring to all the non WRX Imps.

Yeah, C&D was supposed to be referring to nonWRX-Imprezas. The WRXs came and are still coming with dual vanity mirrors.

Not to be off topic, but C&D forgot to mention what they took off the 03s. There is no more brake light unless you get a rear spoiler on the sedan.:confused:

Are you sure about that? I thought that it was a Fed Law since 1986 to have center brake light (in addition to the ones in the tailights) on cars. I don't see how Subaru would be allowed to not have one. Just my .02. :confused:

My 02RS didnt come with a passanger visor mirror. I am always taking chicks around so i of course got hella crap for it. I went to a dismantler and got a WRX one (w/ mirror) for 30$. I like it now, and no more complaints.

Maybe by "vanity mirrors" he means "illuminated visor mirrors". My 02 sedan has mirrors on both visors, but they don't have lights.. maybe the 03s have lights.... maybe?

Yes, there is a lighted ignition, but people have also said there's a new gril ( Can't confirm since I haven;t seen it in person) And that the tranny part numbers are different ... i.e. different tranny.

The only difference in the grill is the emblem design. The stars touch each other. Ive also heard that the tranny is stronger and wont grind or something like that
