PHOTOSHOP GURU's..please HELP
Can someone add an extra rear lower valance to this picture.I ordered 3 of these to connect them all to cover the entire rear. Obviously not the muffler, but at least to the right of the existing one.

why does that sound like an overkill of an idea....
Blk_on_Blk_Wgn 10-03-2005 06:49 AM

Because it is
GTWORX.com 10-04-2005 02:16 AM

How about it isnt. WHY?..because whats on there is'nt enough. ITs too small. PLUS.....I am NOT going to have it actually full 3 sheets across. The objective is to extend the pass side about 2 rows( so about 10 inches.) The drivers side needs 1 row. THATS ALL. IT just looks weak with that little single row in the middle like a messed up mustache of something.

Thats all. So If anyone can picture that, ................

maybe have one made to your specs out of CF? it would probably look alot nicer then rigging 3 oem ones together

When its done , I will post it. ITs gonna be done very well. In al it will be like 2.25 instead of 3 complete ones.

dude.....a valance would be like a rear lip. your talkin about a diffuser :D.
GTWORX.com 10-06-2005 09:36 AM

yeah, yeah, yeah....... :) , I have always gotten those mixed up since the eighties when my Porsche had a "rear valance".now its more of a diffuser.

that is a really sweet desktop pic...

The last picture looks good with them blended and everything, but the thing is, its not going to look that good when its on the car because the fact is they are separate pieces, and there really isnt anything to mount them too unless you plan on running some kind of metal mounting plate across the underside of the car. Why dont you buy an aluminum plate and cut it to fit, and then mount the two and a half diffusers to it, then put some filler between the gaps so it doesnt look like it was thrown together... post some pics when you're done. Im interested to see if it comes out good or looks like a hack. It would be cheaper to put the oem eurospec subaru rear diffuser from the 02-05 wrx on which is wider, and then put a skid plate over the dif.
GTWORX.com 10-06-2005 01:12 PM

That last picture is very close, except imagine it with a normal ridge in between where they meet. And yes we would mount it very well. It would look very factory. WE are already working on a rear DIFFUSER..lol. In Carbon, along with uprights for a nice wing thats not RICEY in any way. This option would be nice and low key and almost not noticable.

Wow.. very sexy pic.

Higher res please!
moss 10-06-2005 02:47 PM

Hmm...

That would work, 2 and 1/2 diffusers plus a little fiberglass work + paint or carbon overlay, or even make am mold out of it.

Edit:

This better?

myles. you make it, ill buy it
IIdiceII 10-06-2005 05:16 PM

Looks stupid with all the random holes in it. Just buy an aftermarket diffuser if you want one. And iv'e heared that the STi diffuser doesn't really do anything performance wise.
moss 10-06-2005 06:38 PM

Better?

i'd buy one!! at a reasonable price of course. ;)
RaceComp Engineering 10-06-2005 10:22 PM

YEah, thats what I am talking about. So how is that to the people who said it would be too wide. I think I would try to make it one row narrower because of the wheel on the right side of the car. Nice photoshop work.
