Anybody have any pics of their STi spoilered 'bug eye' cars...?
I'm eyeing them up and wanted to see how it would look with the rounded headlights..
Maybe someone even has a STi-spoilered Sonic Yellow?

I didn't pay too much attention. But doesn't the '02 UK STi with the optional prodrive package wears the same big spoiler? Or do they just look similar?

My first exterior mod was an STi wing. It looked so weird and goofy that I got wheels and springs the next week.
I'll get some pics soon.

What exactly is wrong with it? Maybe a little too large...that's about it...other then that I kind of enjoy the box style...w/ or w/o the STi spoiler our cars don't look great with unpainted sideskirts...

got springs installed (prodrive) prior to the wing - the wing was really 'accidental' - was at a rallycross when one of the members here (Brack) parked his 04 STI and asked me if i'd like to trade trunks plus 100. heck, why not i said (though it took me a day to decide...hehe)...
also wanted to experiment on the looks. i'll be getting tires and wheels pretty soon. do you have painted sideskirts already?

I dont' have painted skirts yet. I plan on getting an STi or Kaminari front lip and the OEM rear skirt next summer or spring. I'll have them painted when that stuff goes on.
I'll see if I can track down a digi cam and post some pics tonight. There are a lot of requests for cars with Gunmetal rims too, so I'd like to show off my Enkei RPM2's.
I also traded trunks with a fellow NASIOC member who didn't like the big wing on his STi. It is attention grabbing. Some people like attention and some don't.

Thanks for the nice comments guys! This is sorta the first pic I ever put up of my "99% finished" car.
pj_cab - I was sayin the same thing as you 12 months ago ;) No worries - it'll all come together some day! Those wheels are 17" Rota Attacks in Gunmetal with a polished lip - got them from Nino's Auto Accessories. Love em! And Bridgeston S0-3's 225/17/45. Foglight covers = replicas (no logos/words on my car other than the trunk, which may go soon too!!) I had them painted by my local shop when I had a bunch of other stuff done.
Ride Operator - Thanks - I know it looks a little funny sittin out there in the weeds, but I wanted to snap a few pics, and the sky was looking sorta nice. I couldn't come up with anywhere cool to take a pic, and was just driving along and spotted this overgrown abanadoned driveway! :disco: I was actually afraid of getting eaten by a velociraptor while snaping the pics heh. You don't get any headshots for at least two more weeks - reason? I have a broken front bumper, and my passenger side quarter panel has a HUGE dent :D Got hit in a parking lot, and I've finally got the new bumper sitting downstairs, ready to go on. But I am waiting on the fender which is in transit. (Don't feel like removing the bumper twice, since it has to be off for the fender). Once I get THOSE replaced, then I want to take some "nice" pictures for the 'members car gallery' etc... - so probably in a week or two (need the time too!) ANother thing you will see in the head shots is my "front grill mod" (nothing fancy, just a little different than I have seen before)
9o7wRx7o9 - are you referring to the side mirror triangle thingy's? Yeah - that was done when I got my grill+morettes painted. I figured I couldn't really drive around anyway for a few days, so I might as well remove the mirrors. I think it adds so much for so little - it really just adds a bit more "silver" to the car, but to me it almost seems like it helps the lines flow better - I dunno- just talking out of my bum. :)

thanks for the response! i plan on getting SDRs in gunmetal soon...but i'll put the Attacks as part of my selection (and the Tarmac IIs).
no rubbing issues with the 225 width? your Attacks are 7.5", correct?

Absolutely no rubbing, and I have prodrive springs - a few AutoX's, and will be doing a track event Nov 1+2. Yep - 7.5" width. Happy as a :banana:
