Anyone...pic's of FMIC with different front bumpers
I have an MRT front mount intercooler coming for MY02 WRX. I would like to see some pics of different bumper setup's with FMIC's. I am trying to decide on an aftermarket front bumper thats looks great with an intercooler mounted in it...pic's please...

If I knew you wanted this, I would have snapped a pic on my TRUST R-SPL FMIC inside the ZERO SPORTS front bumper. ;)

I was leaning towards the Zero front bumper....nice tall grill opening. I think I saw a pic of your car...it is silver with the full Zero kit and JDM headlights right? SWEET! I also have a JDM front bumper beam coming and read that you were doing or did the same thing...how did it all come together...nice?

what's the deal with the name SPL? I see the HKS T51 SPL and some intercoolers like that as well... is this like top speed trial gear or something?

Not sure what the SPL in the Trust and HKS products mean, but the SPL in Garage SPL means "Speed Performance Lab" :)

Nope. The FMIC was hand carried back for me on the plane. My intake, radiator, blow-off valve, roll cage x-bars and few other items are on that same container. ARG!

I am not "using" them. As you can see, the car is all apart, so I just grabbed first 2 available headlights from the box with parts and put them in so that the bumper will not fall off. It was done only to take pics. ;)

Soon. I am still trying to get a nice turbo to run on my car. I am test fitting a very "small" Trust/GReddy T something something next week. Muahahah! ;)

Forgot to mention this...
The FMIC was designed to use in a stock bumper so when I put my ZS bumper on, I had a ~ 2" gap between the bottom of the intercooler and the bottom of the bumper. Very ugly and about 1/3 of IC was hidden up top behind the bumper cover. Luckily for me, there was enough play in the pipes that allowed me to lower the IC core by about 1.5- 1.75" with the use of existing holes and few spacer. Now the entire opening is filled with the IC's core. Only ~ 1" is still covered by the bumper cover.

Yes, it is mine. It now HAS an engine since 2 weeks ago and it is not white. We do have a white shop WRX, but it is nearly stock.

where can I get a R-SPL instead of the Vspec core sold in the US? Does the R spec core come with a kit for the WRX or did you have to customize it?

I will be running Trust/Greddy Airnix with custom turbo inlet pipe.
Adam, there will be no hard feelings as soon as you cover those huge holes on the bumper with some foglight covers. ;)
