Its cool but cool things comes with a price. Can they do some kind of fiber glass material rather than carbon fiber?

i don't think you'd want fiberglass at your back in an accident.

unless it was such highstrength fiberglass it weighed as much as the car...


with matters of modification like this, that are so integral to the safety of your car, it's really best not to cheap out on stuff.

i'd never stray from OEM or name-brand(recaro, bride, sparco) seats that meet FIA specification on ANYTHING that deals directly with your body in an accident(e.g. seats, steeringwheels, harnesses)

that means no "TENZO-R" seats or "POWERED BY HONDA" harnesses.

i'm sure recaro wouldn't use an unsafe material, but i haven't seen any seat shells that are made out of anything other than carbon/kevlar fiber or alloy. and i personally wouldn't have it any other way.

Uhhhh, at about 5500.00 US if you bought them in Japan without shipping to the USA and taxes........I dont think so. My partner stumbled across it and he is about 5 ft 3 and 140 lbs so of course he loves them. Then he saw the price. 5500.00 buys alot of things, but not seats.

the "cheaper" Brides are backed with FRP. The Zeta III for example can be had in either CF or FRP. i guess its not all fiberglass, but its there.
