The SCCA's new policy of 1/2 refunds sucks. I got screwed by that when I cancelled my Peru Tour entry Sunday evening before the event.

No kidding Corey? That sucks. Dropping like flies they are.
Chiketkd 06-07-2006 02:09 PM

Does anyone have a link to the entry list for this Event or even the webpage where results will be posted?

oh man, you got some really great shots in there. the 195 SM nissan 240 needs to see that picture of him hiking the inside rear 8" off the ground. nice shot of nelson hitting/brushing a cone. and the amount of body roll 90% of the cars have! kC, did you notice the lotus Salerno was driving? seemed flatter then Russ' car and was lifting the inside front in a couple places. i wonder if Pat disagrees with you on the front bar thing?

I've never mentioned anything about suspension tuning with an Elise. Just the RX8. :) Looking at the pics, I don't see much of a difference between any of them at 1st glance.

Almost 2 wheelin'!

Bummer... none of me.

You rent out cars for AutoX events?
CamaroFS34 06-20-2006 09:16 AM
You rent out cars for AutoX events?
 Is that a bad thing? I am running L2 with Joel Fehrman (in his BSP Subie) at DC this weekend.... and I have at least one, possibly 3 people, running FS in my cars. They get to arrive and drive, and I get my weekend paid for. ;)

Karen
KC 06-20-2006 09:22 AM

Between Chang and Nate, they rent out three cars. 2 STS civics and an STX Civic.

Chang usually drives in STX with the white one, but has been dipping into STS. Nates running CM this year, so there are two drives available per event. Nate has 2 drivers in his car, and Chang usually has 2 others. (one of the cars at any given event isn't co-driven.)

Like Karen said, it's a good way to pay for an event, and cover the costs of getting the car there and home again... especially if you have a different ride for the year, instead of letting it sit in your driveway. :)

I've given it some thought for next year, if I don't get the Solstice, but run in a different class (muuuhhahahaha).

Oh, I never said renting was a bad thing... it's actually a great idea and I was just curious in learning more about it!

PayPal me $39.95 and I can educate you on how to rent your car out at an auto-x!!

gleinz 06-20-2006 10:01 AM

Meh, sorry for taking away from the original topic, but I was just more interested if it's a formal process or if people just show up and say "give me X dollars and I'll let you run my car".

I guess I'll send solo-x a PM and see if he'll help me out!
