I'll be there as usual. We are leaving on Friday Morning after I pick up the Rent-a-Wreck SUV, (my suby sits a little too low for those roads). ;) We will be staying at the Comfort Inn in Mansfield.
I am still not sure which stages we are going to be at, I'll have to make a couple phone calls and see where on the stages the spectator points are going to be this year.

Take pics of us! We are in car #487, currently scheduled to start 54th.

You need an SUV to spectate??? Where exactly are you planning on driving on, the ATV trails?!
One year I did the big water crossing - not the little one the rally cars go through, the big one at the end of the road if the rally cars were to turn right after the end of the stage. And the car was lowered then. :)

Pete, take some pictures of me. I am a left rear tire inspector for #774 car. :D
Ha, I think I am a little more than that, actually.

No, I will be using some of the less traveled roads though (I work for PennDOT and I have a very extensive collection of very detailed maps for all the roads in the area) also when you have a Jun Bumper and a APS FMIC that only sits 3" off the ground you tend to frown on bumpy dirt roads. Plus it saves me the miles on my WRX since I have to keep it under 5000 so the smog police don't come after me. ;)
I will keep and eye out for you guys! Good Luck!
And lets try to keep the Rally Syndrome to a minimum, I don't want to see a thread on here Monday morning about a Spectator that all of a sudden thought he was "Super Rally Driver" and decides to park his car into a tree.
I won't be at the water crossing this year, been there done that. I admit it's cool but after 6 years in a row it gets a little old. I might head up to Colton Point early that seemed to be a good spot and Wilson wasn't to bad either. Germania can be a good spot also, it's just a hell of a drive. Like I said I'll make some calls and see if I can get a more extensive spectator points listing.

Should be but they sometimes like to add some, or take some away depending on the organizers. ;)

Sweet, sounds like fun. We'll be relegated to the official service crew route in the box truck, but we took the box truck on dirt roads in Oregon and I would want to avoid that in the future!

Yeah, that's the only problrm with competing, you don't get to see stuff like that. It's a good thing I got to see him when he drove Carl's car (which, ironically, will be back in competition again this weekend  ).
Anyway, stop by and say hi at the Green if you can pull yourself away from Stig. ;)

For those of you who are going to setup campfires in the woods, be VERY careful. I was out in the stages yesterday and today. The woods are very dry. Even with the few showers expected, I don't imagine it'll help. Last thing we want is to burn down a mountain.
Oh, and these guys say "hi". So do their 3 other friends.

Hey Pete,
If you get this message in time, can you get a shot or two of me? I'll be driving the Practice Stage and the 1st Regional = SS1-4 (my father will be driving the rest).
Thanks!

Wow, that was a quick response. huh:
While you're at it, Josh Bressem (JTree) wants to know if you can get shots of him in Jim Cox's (red?) S10 beast (#558)?
Matt Kennedy/Josh Bressem :p

Hi Christian, Don, Matt, et al--
Watch out for them nassty stumps on the roadsides! Remember the slippy road crown, etc. I really-really-really hope it doesn't rain for your you all.
We're sitting out STPR for the first time in years. Just too crazy to do Rocky Mtns on one weekend and then do another rally on other end of the continent the next weekend.
Will be watching RA website eagerly for all the updates. Have fun, go like crazy, be safe.
Cheers,
Dave G
