Yeah Alex's tires was awesome, plus good driver :) amizing grip, unlike my Semperit's feel like a cow on ice plus driver :(
Nice photos Tensen (I would call you official NASIOC photographer)
It was great event. I am getting Hakkapelita for next year!

I have used these tires last two years, and I am begining to think that they have too much grip to have fun at ice racing. I could just go to a track day to have that fun. Yes they let you slide a little, but I think that using Hakkas for this is the best idea, because they are very predictable, offer good grip, and let you slide like crazy without sliding off.

Great pics. Thanks! The event was a blast and I can't wait to do it again next year.

You think those tires would be more fun if you had more power to put down?
Peter and I loved the Hakka RSIs, amazing grip. The only problem was you'd setup for a nice drift turn, then 1/2 way through the tires would grip again and send you to an early apex!

Here are my shots. Figure we should keep them to one post for ease of finding them.

Was an excellent event. The only thing that could have made it any better would be to have Sundays weather on Saturday! Wish I could have met a few of you face to face, but it was too damn cold and windy.

Alex, I think so. With more power I think they would be a lot more fun.

Hey Tensen:
Any chance you have a higher resolution file for this shot of me:

If so, would you mind e-mailing it to me?

Guys if you remember next year, let me know sometime in advance on this and I will personally host a big party at my house on East Caroga that weekend. We can pack as many folks as I can into my place and have us a subaru partay!

Tensen, great pics. I had a blast at this event, though my driving style was clearly stuck on "drift" instead of "fast". :) 47 miles of track time is hard to beat, and I was very impressed with the Artic Alpins: very predictable, easy to slide and easy to get it back together when I over did it. Some of you guys were very fast, I'll need to jump in a few more cars next year.

 yeah, lots of wheel spin, but hopefully not that much!

does caraoga have its own websight?
| Snowphun | 01-14-2008 04:36 PM |
Caroga dones't, but AMEC does: www.icerace.com Good chance for next Sunday, even better for 1/27. No more Studs on Ice time trials, just wheel to wheel.

Heather seemed to spend most of the laps like that. Don't think she was happy with Paul's driving.
