Now, I'm new and all but in the NER region it has been said to watch this Hoppe guy as he basically does anything in his power to dodge the rules. Is this accurate? He has made efforts off the list to contact me but I am weary of hi intentions.
Can someone please provide me with some background information on Hoppe before he convinces me to allow him to run the 19 PSI boost map without challenge that I hear he has been running all season?
Thank You,
A Concerned NER SCCA STX competitor

Hey, how come you didn't ask for L2 Oscoda competitors to contact you? :p
(Methinks Tom hasn't yet gotten used to the idea that he has to butter up Miranda's competitors too... :D )

Hey Tom,
SURE, you can drive in those restricted areas at the event site - I won't tell anyone!
-Steve
hint: for the uninformed, look at the Peru National Tour results for STX ;)

Is that why Todd is listed as "No Time"?

Todd Meade who actually had the best times in STX was cleaning off his tires in a "restricted area" and got DSQd for doing so.....

I asked in the other thread, but I'll ask here as well since nobody replied in the other thread.
I've been running my sway bar in the middle (22mm), and get decent rotation at Miller Park and other asphault surfaces. Steve told me that oscoda is cement, will I want to bump it up to 24 to get rotation there where grip is better?

I think he has an illegal boost fluid regulator and illegal bushings for his muffler bearings. :alien:

That wouldn't be a bad idea. In my car we run the rear shocks pretty much full soft on asphalt and full stiff on concrete. Thats about our only change....The steady state cornering is setup for concrete with the car being pretty loose everywhere on asphalt.

Jay,
Without adjustable rear struts, you'll probably need to stiffen up the rear bar and/or play with tire pressures to get good rotation.
My car's set up pretty much like Tom's, except I don't dare go anywhere near full stiff with the JIC's, as that setting feels pretty much like a solid steel rod...

I've got AGX'es, which I could adjust up in the rear, but I've never really tried that at all and I'm not sure I'd want to mess around with it for the first time there. Hmmm...

I wouldn't really call it "nice." More like "whiners that weren't even there complaining again."
