Tempted to put some sort of front plate on...
I'm very tempted to stick something to the front of the ol' bumper to fill the two mounting holes made for a euro plate. Suggestions?

Japanese
Great Britain
Other
Machine Age Victim 11-24-2003 11:24 PM

Just thought I'd post my euro plate, it's real but you can find companies making replicas, and they can say what you want

Yes, eBay is where I got mine. $30 seemed a little much, but totally worth it.
DemiGod 11-25-2003 12:11 AM

I paid a 200 dollar ticket for not having a front plate on... its even more for having one that doesnt belong on your car... like a japanese or european plate.

Actually, this would really only apply if your state requires you to have a front license plate. In Arizona, you don't need a front plate, so it shouldn't really matter.

Alabama doesn't require one either, if I remember correctly. Same with Mississippi. Move to one of those states and register your car there.
asceleon 11-25-2003 06:54 AM

Neither does GA which is why I asked in the first place ;)
bleuquila 11-25-2003 02:07 PM

that piece from autospeed is beautiful! I was looking and looking for that bumper trim in anodized black and had finally given up. now I know what my brother can get me for Xmas
(PA, another state with a one-plate law, yippee!)
bunni 11-25-2003 02:30 PM

CA does require a front plate. And they will cite you for it. :o

Here is the front trim style for the 04

Also available w/STI and anodized black from autospeed.
CrazyMike13 11-25-2003 02:45 PM

So asceleon, do you have any idea which plate you're gonna go for?
Leonardo 11-26-2003 10:15 AM

Just ordered mine from Japaneseplates.com as well.

Now, going to the Mitsu dealer to get an Evo plate holder as to not block the FMIC.

Personally, Euro plates on U.S. cars looks wonky, but that's just me. It says "poser" about as eloquently as anything I can think of.

The front plate that is idential to the rear is just fine, but I'm an old man, so don't mind me.
