The 22B Grill Is Gone
Well, in my mad quest for an STi 6 conversion, I pulled the 22B grill off today and replaced it with the STi 6 grill. I of course, did do the lighted badge mod again ;). I think I like this grill better than the 22B, though they both did look good.

The quest for a complete v6 made me do it :D. It is plastic, and it's a genuine part (the 22B grills are all replica parts as the 22B's grill and front bumper are one piece) so it was easier to install. As for the lighted badge mod, you can find out how to do it here

NorthU., how did you get your v6 lip on your car? Did you take the bumper off? I am asking b/c I just got mine and I got 9 out of 11 bolts in there but two of em wont go in unless I take it off *methinks*.

I wrote that page for Scoobymods ;). I got all 11 bolts on (only because I'm anal about the car ;)) without removing the bumper. Don't remember how, as it's been such a long time. I am selling the 22B grill illustrated here:
but I had long ago promised it to someone. If he doesn't take it, it will be up for grabs. The hole in the center is for the lighted grill badge mod... had to do it a bit differently with this grill. Boost is coming, but probably not until the spring. All I need at this point is an intercooler and miscellaneous bits. A little engine management wouldn't hurt either :lol: :D!

The Version 5 and 6 grills are identical. It's a v6 because I say so ;) :lol: :D. Shawn at Challenger Deep got me mine, but I think he's closed up for a month. Try Pam at iSR if that fails. Around $150-$160 I think.

wow i did not know someone would reply to me so quickly, umm sorry but someone beat you to it by PMing me, but if he doesn't want it i guess you can have first Dibs, just PM me so i remember. Also the grill is dull in one spot because i tried to touch up a chip that was on it from when i recieved it, but made it worse when i applied rubbing compound.

Yeah, I got the 22b replica grill on too (BRP)...but I'm thinking I like the look of the V6 grille more....

the ver 6 grill is a JDM part i think, and it just pops on like the stock one, but our 22b grills are replica and need work to get it to fit and stay on correctly.

That is correct. The grill on the 22B is part of the front bumper. Any grill we get that is a 22B grill is a replica. The Version 5/6 clips right in just like the stock one.
