lotsa porsche 996s but no vettes?
TyrannoSullyRex 05-04-2004 12:14 PM

Audi S4, eh?

former galati/pobst car?
kfoote 05-04-2004 12:16 PM

The S4 in GAC are totally different from the Champion S4's. The rules for the two series are different enough where in many cases it's not possible to convert a WC car to GAC. The S4's in GAC have been there for a few years, and done quite well.

C5 Corvettes are not legal for GAC this year, they got bumped to the SGS class that runs in the Rolex series.
Strepto 05-04-2004 12:20 PM

Cool, an S4. Good luck Gary :)
TyrannoSullyRex 05-04-2004 12:37 PM

thanks for the info kfoote.

is this going to be a one time deal or a more regular ride?

Awesome Gary
Hey, I'm already a patron for all of your sponsors wares.

Glad to see you land a ride in Grand-Am, it should have happened a long time ago. I'm sure we will see you in WC or beyond in the near future.

When is your first race?

Martin

I could be wrong, but I thought the only similarities between the two were the motor and tranny.

rbehny 05-05-2004 12:50 AM

at least we can still cheer for him in a AWD car... ! Good luck!:D
BIGSKYWRX 05-05-2004 10:12 PM

Congratualtions Gary- that's a great jump up. I too am sad to not see you in a Suby. Maybe someone can step in behind you, the Suby seemed quite competitive in USTCC in your capable hands.

Best of luck!

I'm not abandoning the Subaru. I just need to get some seat time in upper level pro series while other things are being worked on ;)

yeah, the caddy has better brakes!

Gary, congrats on the ride! Look forward to seeing you in a new series. Maybe they can get an STi in there for you to campaign?!

Things that make you go hmmmmm....a second time

Best of luck, Gary. I'll be Tivo-ing the footage, assuming it will be shown on Speed.

Go out there and take it to 'em.

Scott

EDIT: After doing some more digging, this is the event:

Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant
Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada
(6 Hour)
May 21 - 23

Tentatively scheduled to be shown on Speed on May 30th, from noon until 6 PM. w00t!
jmott 05-06-2004 02:09 PM

better or just bigger?

its a heavier car so bigger alone wouldn't make them 'better'
