I like this add:
<IMG SRC="http://www.bensrallypage.com/forsale/escort.jpg" border=0>
Ford Escort RS Cosworth
-- Lightweight motorsport edition
-- 300hp
-- Left hand drive
-- AWD turbo
-- Upgraded ECU
-- Custom exhaust (stock exhaust included)
-- Excellent condition (16,000 road miles)
-- Never seen a stage
-- Complete interior (flawless)
-- Very fast car!!
Would make an awesome Group N car
Located in Toronto, Canada. Delivery Available
$28,000 USD
If I only had $28,000!
Drool "Lightweight Motorsport version", none of that luxo version junk.

ok ok im new at this, well now i know that there is a 2.2 and not a 2.5 ok. well does any of u guys know were i can see some rally action?
| slidewaysmike | 03-13-2001 04:39 PM |
Right now, you are stuck. There isn't really any rally action on TV, although that will change in April. Speedvision will be airing some great rally coverage.
You could contact you local chapter of the SCCA to see if there are any club rally, or rallycross events in your area.
If you are really wanting to see some great rally action, just drive on down to the Cherokee Trails Pro Rally in Tennessee.
Mike
P.S.- You won't find a 22b here in America, and even if you could, the cost to purchase one of these limited edition cars would be pretty intimidating.[img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img][img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Hope that's not your *Final Answer* [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/lol.gif[/img]
Because there are two in the USA that I know of.
One of course is the SOA car and the other is the car that was imported to run last years Pikes Peak.
However it is not road legal to my knowledge..
It was converted from a modified 2.5 litre 22B [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] honest there is such a thing..
It has been overbored and has Cosworth pistons fitted. It has full fuel cell, rollcage, gutted interior, Stack digital dash and even Moretti four head lamp setup.
Don't ask me how I know this coz I'd probably have to shoot you [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/lol.gif[/img]

What ever happened to the SOA 22B? You never hear or see anything about that car anymore. Did they stick it in a garage somewhere and forget about it? Or is someone at SOA driving it to work and home evey day?
| Andre Vandenberg | 03-14-2001 02:42 PM |
As far as the 22b of SoA goes, What happens, or SHOULD happen with vehicles brought into the country under this "special license", is that when it expires, you either have to show proof that it has been destroyed or shipped back to it Country of Origin.... Now THAT is what is SUPPOSED to happen.... It does not ALWAYS happen this way though [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] and some lucky "corporate" guy ends up with some NICE valuable "toys" [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif[/img]

damn rich, beat me to the Pikes Peak 22B Special. Pity it was all screwed up last year, i hope they can run it this year and do a better job!
That cossie aint that fast, it will be 270BHP also as no one makes a 300BHP kit.
It's real easy to get 330BHP as long as its not got the tiny t25 turbo the last generation used, they are hopeless for above 270BHP.
If your serious about the car i can get you in touch with THE man in cosworth tuning, get that car up to 330BHP with very little effort.
I could get that up to 500BHP for you if you had the spare cash quite easily. [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Not that you <u>couldn't</u>.
As far as the one from SOA goes, I saw it driving on the street here in Phoenix about maybe 1.5 or 2 years ago? Anyway, some kid was driving it. I caught him at a light, and honked at him. He rolled down his window and I asked him if that was the 22b, and he said yeah, but it was owned by Subaru, but if I went to the dealership that day I might ge to see it.
He then proceeded to take off from the light in a flurry of dust (all Ricky Rice Racer like). I thought to myself, why can't I have that job?
