normally, I see 22b's and GC8's with them in the center of the trunk. atleast that's where my buddy put his. is yours a vinyl or aluminum with adhesive backing?
bluelinescooby 01-19-2006 02:58 PM

From the Ver5 or 6 STi. Goes on the rear of the trunk I believe. Looked around for a picture real quick but didn't find anything good.

Pop in Gran Turismo IV.. and check out any of the GC8 imprezas for sale in the used section. That'll give you your answer! Although that badge looks small, the stickers that go on the trunk are quite large.

BTW: That's a sweet badge.
Handsdown 01-19-2006 03:15 PM

yeah... normally it's a big decal of that... and it's mainly AUS and japan that had those type of badges, the UK versions had itty bitty little wrx badges.
Lachlan 01-19-2006 03:53 PM

Looks like you got the smaller aluminum one. There were three varieties that came on the JDM STi's, one for coupe, wagon, and sedan each. I believe that one you have is a copy of the coupe badge for light-colored cars (darker cars had the "STi" in white). The actual factory ones are pretty big (maybe 15" or so?) and vinyl.
Dutch Scooby lover 01-19-2006 05:33 PM

This is the JDM name badge for the old pre bugeye WRXes, They were never sold as WRX here in Europe, only in Japan/Asia and Australia.

The pre bugeye model was called GTT in Mainland Europe and GT2000 in England
After the introduction of the bugeye those names were dropped and they started calling them WRX.

They normally go in the centre of the trunk, in a larger size, but small ones were also fitted in front of the rear wheel arches on 2 door coupes.

Ya know, that looks strangely cartoonish. I don't know what it is about it, maybe the shape of the lettering, but it just doesn't seem like something that would come stock on a car, regardless of what nation it was sold in.

I'm sort of wierd like that though.

Its a aluminum emblem knock-off of the decals that were on the GC WRX STis... They're not an FHI part.
SUBYDOODIE 01-19-2006 09:06 PM
