What cleaners do you use on your interior?

For the dash and upholstry?

I still have not found anything that doesnt leave my car slimey, greasy, and smelling weird. I'm picky about the smell of my car. I usually just moisten a rag and wipe. Then dry it off. I wonder if that will eventually hurt my interior???

303 Aerospace Protectant is similar to the interior Armor All in use, but that's there the similarities end. It's a non petro, water based UV protectant for interior plastic and vinyl surfaces. It leaves a surface that's not too shiny, and not greasy. It's pretty cool, a lot of people reccomend it.

Where do I get some of that? Im trying to stay away from Armor All because I heard it dries your dash out leading to cracks.

I have a spray bottle that I fill with water and about 1/2 tablespoon of johnson and johnson baby shampoo. I use that to clean and dust the dash and center console. I figure it's not real harsh, and it doesn't leave a film or anything. Plus it smells pretty good. ;)
Just don't get it too soapy.

I use this stuff, but I find that it rubs off pretty easy. if you rest your elbow on the door, after only a couple of days, you'll find a dull spot where you elbow sits.
Other than that, it's good. Keeps the dash looking new and it's relatively odorless.

Go to 303s Web site and they'll send you a free sample :)
I also like to use Stoner's interior aerosol cleaner.

At my shop we use a heavily diluted all purpose cleaner. Now granted the interiors we are cleaning can have lots of built up gunk and dirt and slime all over. But it will clean the vinyl realy well and then you can use a protectant.

I just use windex on my dash/interior plastic. It works good and doesn't leave a shine which I personally can't stand.

i've been using the meguiars nxt generation tech protectant
it leaves a little bit of shine but isn't greasy and slimey like armor-all
plus it has a really mellow smell, nothing really noticable at all

Meguiar's #40 Vinyl/Rubber Protectant.

i use a damp cloth only to clean everything inside.
i have heard horror stories about armor-all and the like cracking dashes and screwing stuff up, plus i hate a shiney interior.
for my seats i just use a damp cloth too, fluff up the ass print and let it dry before re-applying ass print.

I've also found this happens with Armorall.

I use Plexus (for plastics), pretty good, though it does have some odor for a day or two. But it makes the dash look like new and cleans up the scratches on tint and speedometer display pretty well...

I use Armor All wipes and Swiffer cloths for the dash, and then 3M window cleaner because of the tint.

I just use a interior duster and QuikDetailer spray. I just
spray into a terry towel and wipe down (if that dirty). Usually
just a dusting is enough in my cars.

I really didn't like meguiars nxt generation tech protectant. It didn't seem to do a very good job. The results I did get were fast fleeting.

no idea what my work uses for interior stuff, but it works well. i have the interior detailed about every 3 months. same with the outside

There's better stuff out there, but I just use Armorall. It wont crack or dry out your dash (maybe the older stuff used to, but not anymore) and if you hit it with a microfiber after you're done you can cut down on the shine and greasiness. Meguiar's PlastX does a good job on clear plastics like clusters, clocks, and headlights.
For a quick dusting those weird dust sponges seem to work good for dust/ash.

I use the Armor All interior wipes and they work great!
I follow immediately behind it with a dry paper towel and it leaves NO residue whatsoever.
The very same wipes I have used, and I mean just rub it into the fabric stain using only 2-3 wipes, to clean up very old coffee stains and stains from fast food that my kids have made on the back seat and everything came clean as new - also...no smell.
I am very impressed with this stuff.

I just got done using Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Protectant and am pleased so far. Not smelly, not too shiny. Time will tell how it holds up.
