What do you think, stock or replica V5/7 spoiler?

What do you guys think? I want to get this v5/7 one but still kind of hesitating if i really want it. Need your help! Any comment is appreciated. If you dislike the v5/7 please state your reasoning.

The V5/7 Spoiler is not meant to be on the WRX body style... IMO. It's a V5 spoiler... made for the older GC chassis, its too round and doesn't fit with the GD chasis. I'd get the USDM STi spoiler, it matches the car, or stay stock.

First off,I'm not an expert on cars or anything. I dislike the stock one on any car. If I were you, I would either go with the spoiler in the second and third pics. I think the look of that one is sharp, you almost never see that type of spoiler on other cars, well at least I don't see many of those type wings on cars in northern NJ at least. I would either go with the second one, or no wing. That's just my opinion.

ha funny to see what there are more votes for the v5/v7 spoiler but yet most of the comments were made against it. To be honest, i think the v5/v7 spoiler looks quite good on the side, and over all looks the best on a black car. My hesitation is that the overall shape is a bit too "round" for the gd body, too curvy. I like the "squarish" look of the STI but it's a bit too big for my taste also much heavier this replica. Also another reason why i am not so sure on the STI wing is if i buy the used one or do the swap i'll have to repaint the whole thing to match my car, not quite worthy it.
thanks for all the comments though, really appreciate honest opinions. It's also a matter of personal preference, as you guys suggested to go for the STI one, i am sure there are many more "STI spoiler" haters out there.

Honestly, If you were to compare the V5/V7 spoiler to the STi spoiler, you'll realize that there's not much difference in the size between the spoilers. I think both are 12" high.

First post, so hello to everyone, been reading the boards awhile and I've learned alot. Thanks.
I've got the V7 on my PSM '03, and I like it. I thought it looked better on the '03 than the V8 does. They are practically the same size, just not so straight up and down. I really liked the car without any spoiler, and the stock spoiler was just not an option for me, don't like it. I can provide pics, I just don't have them right now.

i like my v5/7 replica. and i dont care if anyone else doesnt. it just seems to match the car better. the rear didnt seem right without it. i like how its more roundish than the boxy v8 wings. our 02/03 wrx's have a round theme. ie headlights. so the roundish wing seems a better fit than boxy v8 wings to me. the v8 wings also seem WAY WAY WAY more gargantuan than my v7 replica wing. although that is by sight and i havent measured anything.

The Ver7 STi came with the same spoiler that you can get from the factory on a regular old WRX. So it is not a Ver7 replica.
IMHO the Scoobysport / Kaminari wings are the best looking ones :)

i love the way the v7 looks on that black car up at the top of the post. I will eventually most likely be going with this spoiler, the only problem is that it does not fit the stock wing holes on the trunk. And i dont think that it covers all of them.

thanks guys for all the help. It's a beautiful wing. I noticed some of them doesn't have the brake light. Do anyone know where I can get just the light (how much) or is it really worthy it?

the V5/V7 wing looks decent just looks a little outa place for some reason. I have two recomendations though. For the cheaper alternative i would look into stock spoiler spacers i love the way they look on a WRX it just seems like they add enough to where i have had to look a coupla times to relize it was a stock spoiler but looked great. on the more expensive side of things there is this option.
