From what I can tell, yes. We are know for being extremely sue happy and like to take people to task for any type of misfoturne. Not a good rep to have in the international world. Watch any clip of Max from after Indy Gate and the 1st thing he says is that he couldn't afford to be taken to and American court becuase if anything would have happened to a driver or fan it would have come back to him.
BMW undecided on Villeneuve's future
By Jonathan Noble January 17th 2006, 11:59 GMT
BMW motorsport chief Mario Theissen says it is too early to know if the German squad will retain Jacques Villeneuve after this season.
Villeneuve, who had a poor season at Sauber in 2005, was retained by BMW after months of speculation about the former World Champion's future.
The Canadian had signed a two-year contract with Sauber, but there was a lot of uncertainty after he was outshone by teammate Felipe Massa.
Villeneuve, however, will partner German Nick Heidfeld at BMW this year.
Theissen did not rule out retaining the 34-year old next season, but said it was too early to talk about drivers.
"We will see," said Theissen. "So far we look at 2006 and in 2006 we need to have the best results that we can get. For this reason both drivers get equal chances and we expect equal results from both drivers and then we will talk about the future."
Theissen revealed BMW were in talks with some young drivers over the second racing seat, but Villeneuve's improvement in the final part of the season made them decide to keep the Canadian.
"We looked at both," he added. "We were in discussions with young drivers as well. I think it only makes sense to take on a young driver as a race driver if it is for more than one year because the first year in F1 is a learning year.
"No matter how good he is, it will take him a year to understand how F1 works, the team, how to develop the car and go through the weekend and therefore there is no problem taking on a young driver for a year and not gain from the experience he gained.
"This, and on the other hand, the improvement of Jacques over the season, made it look to us as the way to go for 2006."
The BMW boss also said both Villeneuve and Heidfeld will get the same status.
"Both drivers get equal treatment and they will get equal treatment. We have two number one drivers."

BMW: new car an all-new concept
January 17th 2006, 09:52 GMT
The BMW Sauber team say their new Formula One car, named F1.06, is a completely all-new concept.
"The car is a complete new redesign," said BMW motorsport chief Mario Theissen during the launch.
The new car design was heavily influenced by the introduction of V8 engines for the upcoming season, although the overall dimensions of the car remain almost unchanged.
"For the designers this means more scope in the design of the car thanks to the more compact engine," said technical director Willy Rampf.
With engine power being lower due to the reduced capacity, the engineers have focussed primarily on the car's aerodynamics.
The chassis has been significantly lowered at the front, which means the lower wishbones are no longer attached below the monocoque but directly to the side of the chassis.
The nose of the car has also been lowered further to the ground and features an underside that curves slightly upwards.
A completely new feature on the F1.06 is the design of the suspensions. On the front axle, the layout is significantly determined by the higher attachment points of the lower wishbones, as dictated by efficient aerodynamics.
The car will be powered by BMW's P86 engine.
Theissen said there would be substantial changes to the new engine before the season gets under way in Bahrain.
"The engine is different from what we will have in Bahrain from now," he said. "This is a technology race."
The F1.06's gearbox was built in the Hinwil factory and Theissen said it was a development of last year's unit, "but the innovations and coming projects for the future are done in Munich".
The new car will complete a shakedown at Valencia today. The second chassis will start testing early in February, while the third chassis which will be taken to Bahrain will make its debut in mid-February.

Montoya: I am as quick as Raikkonen
By Michele Lostia January 17th 2006, 12:33 GMT
McLaren driver Juan Pablo Montoya says he is as fast as teammate Kimi Raikkonen despite a difficult first season with the team.
The Colombian driver joined Raikkonen from Williams, but he failed to match his teammate's results in 2005, finishing 52 points behind the Finn, runner-up to Fernando Alonso in the standings.
Raikkonen scored seven wins while Montoya, who missed two races due to injury, won three on his way to fourth place in the Championship.
But despite the results, Montoya reckons he is as quick as Raikkonen.
"I think, honestly, that we are both equally fast and that, as demonstrated last season, we alternate taking the upper hand between us based on the car's characteristics," Montoya told SportAutoMoto.
"When Kimi finds himself with a better car than mine, he beats me. But when I set up my car better than he does, I beat him. That's it, as simple as that."
"Kimi is a difficult rival, but not impossible and I demonstrated that in the last third of the previous season. I won at Monza and Interlagos and I could have done it at Spa too, if Kimi didn't need a certain help in order to gain the maximum possible amount of points for the Drivers' Championship."
Montoya also admitted he was happy with what he had achieved.
"To tell you the truth, I don't think I could have done better than I did, nor I could have got better results," he added. "Kimi is very fast, I repeat, but I showed I'm able to be as fast.
"Besides, don't let yourself be fooled: every top driver in this series is able to win races and the championship as long as you have the right car at the right time. And if your teammate is more comfortable with a certain car and knows the team better, then this can make a huge difference."
Sorta awkward that "The essence of racing" text goes straight to their crotch.
I like the livery too, but I don't think Villenuve has much of a future at hte team. I'd like him to stay in the series though.

I personally am not a fan of the livery. There needs to be more color towards the rear. If the rear wing uprights were blue I would be happy. I also don't like that the drivers have the logos on the cheak in big ole white blocks. Looks cheap IMHO.
I hope they do well and I hope that 'ol Jack gets some overalls that fit better then an oversized trash bag.

Today's testing round up.
De la Rosa fastest at Jerez
January 17th 2006, 16:39 GMT
Pedro de la Rosa posted the fastest time in testing at Jerez as Formula One teams resumed their programmes at the Spanish track after two days of rest.
Both de la Rosa and teammate Gary Paffett continued working with the V10-powered McLaren, with the Spaniard, the busiest man on track with 94 laps, posting a best time of 1:18.850.
De la Rosa finished nearly three tenths of a second in front of Toyota's Jarno Trulli.
The Italian worked alongside teammate Ralf Schumacher as both continued with the development of the new TF106 car from the Japanese squad. Schumacher was involved in one of the few incidents of the day when his engine blew up at the exit of the Ferrari corner.
Nico Rosberg was the only other driver in action at Jerez, although the Williams racer did not complete a single timed lap. Instead, he concentrated on practising starts, coming back to the pits after completing the lap.
Rosberg caused the other red flag of the day, his car stopping at the Sito Pons corner.
Today's times:
Pos Driver Team Tyres Time Laps
1. de la Rosa McLaren-Mercedes (M) 1:18.850 94 *
2. Trulli Toyota (B) 1:19.037 68
3. Paffett McLaren-Mercedes (M) 1:19.130 78 *
BMW encouraged after F1.06 roll-out
By Jonathan Noble January 17th 2006, 16:56 GMT
The BMW team were pleased after German driver Nick Heidfeld successfully completed the roll-out of their new F1.06 car unveiled today.
Heidfeld took to the Valencia circuit early in the afternoon and completed 29 trouble-free laps to carry out system checks. He set a best time of 1:13.430.
The Valencia track record is 1:09.055, but today was the first time a V8-powered Formula One car tested there.
Heidfeld was encouraged by the initial performance of the car.
"I'm quite happy - this is one of the best roll-outs I've ever done," Heidfeld told autosport.com after the test.
"In F1 you say that already on the roll-out, you can [already] feel if the car is good or not. I've seen that being true in the past, and I would say that this is a good car compared to what we had before. I don't know how good it is, but I'm really happy with what we've seen today.
"We had no engine or mechanical problems. We did 29 laps, having only started at lunchtime, which is okay. And if you look at the laptimes, considering we didn't do anything on the set-up and did not push for any laptimes, it looks pretty good.
"The car should be mainly better in the aerodynamics, but from my feeling so far, it just seems to have so much more downforce. It is easy to drive everywhere - especially on the exit of corners."
BMW motorsport boss Mario Theissen was equally enthusiastic.
"We're quite satisfied with the first day," he told autosport.com. "The new car ran flawlessly, and the only problems we've had were with radio and telemetry. The car itself was perfectly fine; the system checks are all done and are okay, and Nick was now gaining speed - getting quicker and quicker, lap by lap, so it looks good.
"I think it was a very good start."
Heidfeld's teammate Jacques Villeneuve also took to the track, but in the hybrid C24B. The Canadian, however, hit trouble at the start, when his car got stuck in first gear and his engine overheated in the pitlane.
The team sorted the problem out, and Villeneuve covered 50 laps with a best time of 1:14.037.
The BMW Sauber team will continue testing with both cars tomorrow.
F1 rocks and so does road racing. Bringing all this information, photos, links, goods, etc., is absolutely awsome. I usually have no choice but to wait and read the 'highlights' in the racing magz, but this up to the moment stuff is delicious.
Keep it coming!!!

I can't get used to the orange Mclaren. Every time I see it, I think Arrows.
Does anyone know what the sponsor "Gary" on the Mclaren is?
Biaggi enjoys Midland test
By Alan Baldwin January 18th 2006, 14:31 GMT
Former MotoGP rider Max Biaggi kept tight-lipped about his future plans after trying out a Midland Formula One car at a rain-soaked Silverstone on Wednesday.
Midland said the 34-year-old Italian, dropped by his Honda team in motorcycling's top category at the end of last season, completed 10 laps in very wet conditions in the 2005 Jordan with a V8 engine.
"I took this chance...and if there is another chance for me soon I will take it. Maybe this year I will race bikes, maybe not. Nothing is decided yet," Biaggi told Reuters in a telephone interview.
Biaggi, four times a 250cc world champion, tried out a Ferrari Grand Prix car at that team's Fiorano test track in 1999, something MotoGP champion and compatriot Valentino Rossi has been doing more seriously of late.
While 26-year-old Rossi has had three separate Ferrari tests and is seen as a real prospect to switch from two wheels to four, Biaggi is unlikely to be considered for a serious role at newcomers Midland, even though Wednesday's outing was at Midland's invitation.
"I got a good feeling with the car. I didn't push myself to the limit because it was not the best day to do it but it was a nice emotion again to go back in Formula One," he said.
Biaggi hinted at a switch to the world superbike championship, which uses the Silverstone circuit, although motorcycling's 'Roman Emperor' has also talked on his website of a four-wheeled future.
"It was a good chance to sit in a Formula One car again and go to Silverstone where I didn't know the track yet," he said. "And maybe if I race bikes then I will know this track.
"It's not a kind of competition to see who jumps into Formula One first," added the Italian, who has a long-standing rivalry with Rossi.
"It's all about getting the right feeling and checking if it's something that fits yourself, if I really feel comfortable inside a Formula One car. At the moment it is too early to say, very early, but I don't close any doors about these opportunities," he said.
"We didn't make any (further) plans because in one month's time these guys will have to race and the championship will start for them and there will be too much happening."
Midland, formerly Jordan, have signed up Dutchman Christijan Albers as one of their race drivers with Portugal's Tiago Monteiro expected to partner him.

Ide to have seat-fitting at Aguri
By Jonathan Noble January 15th 2006, 22:12 GMT
Formula Nippon front-runner Yuji Ide is looking increasingly likely to land a drive at Super Aguri this season, autosport.com has learned, with the Japanese racer due to visit the team's factory on Monday.
Sources indicated last month that Ide had reached a deal to join the new outfit, either in a race seat alongside Takuma Sato or as their third driver.
And now sources close to the team have told autosport.com that the plan is for Ide to have a seat-fitting at Super Aguri's Leafield factory on Tuesday following meetings tomorrow.
This suggests that he will now definitely be part of their operation, although it is still not clear whether it will be as a race driver or a test driver.
The team's entry to next year's world championship should be confirmed this week, and it is expected that the team will announce their driver line-up almost immediately after that.
The team are planning to run updated versions of the 2002 Arrows for the start of the season, although they are not planning to test until next month.

Testing agreement close to collapse
By Jonathan Noble January 18th 2006, 15:07 GMT
A self-imposed testing ban agreement between Formula One teams is looking increasingly likely to collapse, autosport.com has learned, as a number of teams commit themselves to a test in Bahrain next month.
There had been hopes that a repeat of the 30-day agreement that was approved by nine teams last year would be put in place for 2006, but it is understood that it is now doubtful this deal will go ahead.
Sources claim that some teams will not commit to the accord unless Ferrari do so, although the Italian outfit are standing firm in their belief that the best way to reduce costs is to limit mileage rather than days.
A limit of days would severely hamper the team's use of their Fiorano facility.
A Ferrari spokesman told autosport.com that they were still willing to discuss the teams reaching an agreement, but it would not be for a day limit.
"We would be keen to find an agreement, but we believe that a kilometre limit is a more efficient way of reducing costs," he said. "We've invested heavily in Fiorano for 30 years and that should not be wasted."
This week's Autosport reports that a document was circulated between teams recently stipulating that the 30-day two-car limit that was adopted last year should be repeated this season, but some team bosses are now resigned to the fact it will not get approved.
Toyota motorsport president John Howett told Autosport: "It looks as if agreement was needed from all 10 teams - and Super Aguri if they start the season if the agreement was to go ahead.
"Unfortunately, that unanimity has not been forthcoming. Ferrari do not want to be party to that agreement so it looks as if we are all going to do our own thing."
News of the problems with the testing accord comes on the back of Ferrari, Honda Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso confirming to autosport.com that they will accept an invite from the Bahrain organisers to attend a test there in the middle of February.
The Bahrain test has highlighted the fact that teams no longer feel restricted in sticking to the terms of previous agreements, which included a ban on tests outside of Europe to keep costs down.
Ferrari, who operated outside the nine other teams' restrictions last year and tested at Bahrain in the winter, will test there from February 13, while Toro Rosso and Honda have now also confirmed that they will test from February 13-16.
All the other teams on the grid were consulted on whether they wanted to join the Bahrain test but have so far decided against it either for logistical or cost reasons.
Although a free-for-all in testing would likely lead to testing costs increasing dramatically for some teams, Honda Racing boss Nick Fry has told Autosport that he is hopeful that most teams will still be able to keep a lid on expenses.
"The irony of the situation is that most teams have improved their testing efficiency so much that even with no agreement it's unlikely that we would do appreciably more than 30 days," he explained.
Testing news from Jerez.
Button tops the times at Jerez
January 18th 2006, 16:24 GMT
Briton Jenson Button finished on top of the timesheets on the second day of this week's testing at the Jerez circuit in Spain.
Both Button and teammate Anthony Davidson joined the Jerez session today as the Honda team continued with their preparations ahead of the debut of their new car next week in Barcelona.
Both men drove hybrid cars fitted with V8 engines, with Davidson enjoying a very productive day with 133 laps covered.
Button completed nearly 100 laps, but the Briton stopped on track twice during the day.
Jarno Trulli split the Honda drivers with his Toyota, the Italian posting the second quickest time as he focused on suspension set-up and tyre testing at the wheel of the Japanese squad's TF106.
Trulli, who caused one of the six red flags today when he stopped on track in the afternoon, worked alongside teammate Ralf Schumacher, the German covering just 39 laps on his way to the seventh fastest time.
McLaren's test drivers Pedro de la Rosa and Gary Paffett continued with a tyre development programme for Michelin, driving the interim MP4-20s fitted with restricted Mercedes V10 engines.
De la Rosa was fourth quickest ahead of Paffett, who was involved in an incident in the morning when he went off at the first corner. McLaren are leaving Jerez today to travel to Barcelona.
Williams were also in action at Jerez, working with both Nico Rosberg and Alexander Wurz, who joined the German. The Austrian was the quickest of the two despite stopping on track with an apparent mechanical problem early in the afternoon.
Montoya interest stirs driver market
By Jonathan Noble January 18th 2006, 15:33 GMT
McLaren boss Ron Dennis will almost certainly not be able to stall too long on making a decision on the future of Juan Pablo Montoya, with the Colombian having already been approached by several top teams about a deal for 2007.
In the aftermath of McLaren's capture of Fernando Alonso, there has been plenty of speculation that Dennis would be in the driving seat when it came to deciding who the Spaniard's teammate would be after he joins the team.
With one seat already taken for 2007, Dennis may have been thinking that he would be able to dictate terms and keep a lid on drivers' wage demands when it came to negotiations over a new contract with either Kimi Raikkonen or Montoya.
But with sources suggesting that McLaren's options on both Raikkonen and Montoya were not taken up by their expiry date on December 31, both drivers could now in theory be free to not only begin talks with rival teams but also sign another deal.
There has been no doubt that Raikkonen has generated interest from other teams, believed to include Ferrari and Toyota, as he seriously considers a switch of teams, but autosport.com also understands that Montoya's availability has excited several outfits as well.
It is not clear who these teams are, but they would likely include Red Bull Racing, where Montoya would be able to renew his working partnership with Adrian Newey. A lot of drivers are going to be keen to get their hands on a Newey-designed car in 2007.
Although Raikkonen's departure would not be a big surprise to the outside world, a Montoya defection as well could leave Dennis struggling to find a top-line driver to put alongside Alonso.
The options are limited and it could leave Dennis needing to take a gamble on a young up-and-coming driver - with some suggesting that test driver Gary Paffett or even McLaren protege Lewis Hamilton could be given their F1 race chance.
The scenario leaves Raikkonen, Montoya and Dennis set to play an intriguing game of poker over the forthcoming season in their bid to land the best possible deal as F1's silly season gets into full swing.
There seems to a amazing lack of activity from Super Aguri. There was supposed to be word from the FIA a few weeks back but nothing from what I have read has popped up. With a month and half left I think it would be nice to get an actual car on track sometime soon.
As far as Montoya, it looks like Ron Dennis thinks of his drivers as nothing more then cogs in his machine. It still looks like he holds most of the cards for the drivers market in 07 but if Monto and Kimi really are getting looks and offers that might put the whole situation on its head.

This week will be the official announcement of Super Aguri, the FIA has received the payment so it looks like they're through.
Dennis does respect his drivers. His ability to keep Senna with them during 93 is testament to this, he knows he needs a top of the line driver. He also knows that he has two very fast drivers for this year and at least one very fast driver for next year. I think he knows either driver will be great to have in 07, its just who is going to go where for 07. If either goes to Ferrari I think Dennis would keep them from that, but I doubt he would care if they went to a team like Red Bull or Toyota.

I agree Stu, it was over simplification on the Dennis thing. Just with all the comments flying around blaming his drivers seems to bring down my opinion of them. I have always liked McLaren becuase of the way they act as a team and no one person is more important then another but when you have so many mechanical faliures and you blame just the driver just doesn't make sense to me at all.

Cool, thanks for the pictures.
I understand where you're coming from, I think Dennis is just frustrated with being so close the last few years (okay, not 04) that it came to a head. I also think he was using it as a tool for negotiating. Raikkonen is very high up (and I think Dennis already knows he may have outpriced himself at McLaren) but at the moment Montoya is slightly damaged goods after last season. Dennis probably hopes Montoya would go out, find out no one will give him that much this early on before he has proven himself this year, andthen sign him early in the year before he has a mega season (I hope.)

I don't go back far enough in racing to know the CanAm colors. I got hooked in the early 90's. Mclaren was always in red and white Marlboro livery. the classic Senna look.

McLaren has always been silver and white to me. I've only been following F1 for 5 or 6 years though.

Montoya will never prove himself as a world champion. He shows flashes of brilliance during some races, and then at other races, he shows mediocrity. At least Kimi showed a chance of winning the championship, too bad the motors let him down.
I'll be the first to say that JPM isn't much better than Sato. JPM does have the ability to push himself to the top, but it seems that he chooses not to.

Meh, I'm not buying it. I've seen his raw talent back in the days of CART. Last year was a very dissapointing year for JPM, I'll agree. He had reliability problems in the start of the year, made a couple of mistakes, and then got himself injured which I'd imagine made him feel like he didn't have a chance at the title. He still managed a respectable season finish throughout.
You don't have to win every race to be a champion, although the past few seasons it's seemed that way. The mold will break eventually...
Comparing JPM to Sato is just plain ****ing rude. Let's review:

You're killin' me Mika. Look at '03. Montoya was there FTW but for 2 horrible events.
1) Getting jacked by the stewards at the USGP for running into Rubens in turn 1. After review of the tape, Monto never made contact with Rubens AND Rubens said his gearbox locked up on him causing the spin.
2) Frentzen letting MS slide by in the closing stages at Monza and holding Montoya up badly for almost a full lap after letting the Ferrari by while Montoya was on hot tires. His one chance was destroyed by a Ferrari powered lapped car in Italy.
You don't win the Vanderbilt like he did without being amazing and having "the heart of a champ". Like his quote earlier in the thread, anyone of the guys in F1 can win and I think he is one of 5 or 6 guys that can take the whole cookie.
<-----Montoya fan if you couldn't tell.

My favorite Montoya moment was in 1999 at the Portland CART race. Coming onto the start/finish straight for a restart (he was in the lead) he got on the power a bit early, lost the rear end, spun the car all the way around, and then after rejoining the restart maylay, managed to only loose two places.
Biaggi says MF1 test was a one-off
By Michele Lostia January 19th 2006, 10:47 GMT
MotoGP rider Max Biaggi says his test with the MF1 Racing Formula One team was just a one-off and that it has nothing to do with future plans.
"No, this has been an opportunity which I took with both hands," said Biaggi when asked if Formula One was his new love.
"It had been programmed since October, and it has nothing to do with the other ongoing talks I have. So why not make the most of it.
"If you see me testing an F1 car again, then I suggest you get worried. It won't just be a one off anymore. If I don't test it anymore, then it means that what boils in my blood, the bike, prevailed," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian rider, whose future is still in the balance after being left without a ride in MotoGP, took to the Silverstone circuit in poor weather conditions in what was his first taste of a Formula One car since he tested for Ferrari seven years ago.
"I didn't make any mistakes," Biaggi added. "I tried to be like a good test driver on a new circuit, a flooded one, and with some 750 horsepower behind my back. There was no point in showing off.
"Did I enjoy myself? Yes, and I still have some adrenaline on me, because when you release all that power the car has to be driven: it never goes totally straight.
"It was an important test, already on a 2006 car with a V8 engine: all brand new and lively, like me. I took part in a meeting with the technicians. For this once I didn't keep up with my reputation for being a pain in the neck, so I just listened."
Despite claiming the Midland test was a one-off, Biaggi admitted he is considering all possibilities for his future, including switching to car racing.
"All the possibilities are still open, both on two and four wheels," he said. "Time is very short, but it isn't the first time for me, so that's why I'm forced to promise a definitive announcement by the end of the week, or at most by the middle of next week. You can't go beyond that in order to face a new adventure in a professional way."

McLaren to test new car next week
January 19th 2006, 11:58 GMT
The new McLaren-Mercedes MP4-21 is set to make its track debut at the Barcelona circuit in Spain next week.
Although the team had originally planned to run it behind closed doors at Valencia, the new car will instead break cover in public at the Circuit de Catalunya at the start of a major test.
Spanish driver Pedro de la Rosa is expected to be the man in charge of shaking down the new car, although racing drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Kimi Raikkonen will attend the event. Team chief Ron Dennis also plans to be there.
The exact date for the car's debut is yet to be confirmed.
McLaren have been testing with an hybrid version of their 2005 car so far.

Button still on top at Jerez
January 19th 2006, 16:35 GMT
Jenson Button remained at the top of the times for the second consecutive day in testing at the Jerez circuit in southern Spain.
The British driver, at the wheel of the hybrid Honda powered by this year's V8 engine, was the only man capable of lapping in less than 79 seconds.
Button was, for the first time, working alongside new teammate Rubens Barrichello, who finished second today, nearly four tenths behind the Briton.
Barrichello's running, however, was cut slightly short due to an engine problem.
"There was a minor problem with the engine so I had an engine change," Barrichello told autosport.com. "I could not run as much as I would have liked. I am not too worried about the familiarization of the tyres or the car, as next week there is a new car so it is a different thing.
"But it is very very different to drive a V8. I have to get used to it, I have to get that into my head. That's why it has taken a bit more time to get going, but I am .4 seconds slower than Jenson today so it is alright."
The Brazilian got a new seat fitted to his car, and although it was better than the one he tested last week, he was still not perfectly happy.
"We have a new shell here, I am happier with that, but I am still moving around," he said. "I sat up more but now instead of moving front to back then back to front, I am moving up and down! I have done the new seat for the new car already and I hope it will be different."
Ralf Schumacher was third quickest in the Toyota TF106, the German causing two of the four red glads which stopped the session today. The Toyota driver stopped on track early in the morning and then went off at the first corner in the afternoon.
Despite that, he finished ahead of teammate Jarno Trulli.
The Toyota duo were split by Williams drivers Alex Wurz and Nico Rosberg, who both cause a red flag each, the Austrian stopping on track in the morning and the German sliding off the circuit when the session was almost over.
Today's times:
Pos Driver Team Tyres Time Laps
1. Button Honda (M) 1:18.795 92
2. Barrichello Honda (M) 1:19.288 61
3. R.Schumacher Toyota (B) 1:19.373 60
4. Wurz Williams-Cosworth (B) 1:20.187 77

You would be the first, considering the stats don't add up at all. Look at 04, Sato had a better car yet Montoya did much more including winning a race. Montoya could have won the championship in 03 if his car didn't let him down in Suzuka (he was dominating early) and the stewards hadn't put him out in the USGP.
