Looks pretty good. I'm debating on welding and painting mine. Right now I just made some covers that snap into the existing big holes. But I figure with all of the work I am doing I might as well do it right.
Finished extending all of my headlight/horn/etc wires yesterday. That sucked. But now those are all tucked into the bumper.

Here's my fuse box. That's the clutch pedal.
It actually looks further away in person.

Why'd you have to extend your headlight wires an whatnot? I didn't. I pulled the radiator and pulled them all further. Got them all tucked in the bumper no problem with no extending at all same with fusebox in bumper. I haven't extended one wire yet

No wire extending because your fuse box is in the bumper. Putting it in the car is why extending is needed.

update for me. here is how my chasebays ps resovoir, lines and cooler install is going. it fits like a glove, not too hard to do just the one high pressure line on the rack was a pain to get off. still gotta mount the cooler in the bumper in front of the radiator and the resovoir on the side of the radiator. must say though very nice kit. lines are perfect length and look awesome in black. really cleans up the bay from those ugly ass metal lines.

I was thinking about getting that power steering kit. I looked around for places to hide my current reservoir but didn't have any luck. I might just pick up their reservoir only since it looks better and also seems a but thinner and easier to tuck.

I recommend the whole kit to be honest. it replaces the all lines all the way to the rack. its a nice touch to clean everything up. the stock metal lines are so ugly this has nice braded lines with AN fittings. plus comes with enough line to mount the resovoir on the side of your radiator which is really clean looking. well worth it. either way just the resovior will look good alone

Yeah I'm thinking about it. I already have the line that goes from the pump to the rack because of my turbo. So I was just going to make the other couple lines.
But at this point I'm getting sick of making stuff so buying a kit sure looks good. :)

Thanks a lot.
I used to think it was such a dumb Honda thing to do a different color. But then I figured why not and just bit the bullet and went for it.
Turned out well. Plus it goes with the red and blue flake I have in my paint that make purple. And the purple paint matched calipers are a nice touch.

Where does that in dash kit go? I was debating on making my own with an fittings because my current hard line setup kind of sucks. Still putting the an stuff in the cowl.[/quote]
It runs out the master into the firewall right under it, through the bottom of the dash across to the other side and also connects to the back ones as well under the carpet. Haven't done it yet but from pics I've seen of it installed looks easy and hides great

We'll see I guess so far everything looks great and the PS steering Kit was complete and fit like a glove

I had to hit up Dmoney to get a list of proper fittings, so I could make the ChaseBay dash kit work. He was right when he said he should just make the kit and sell it, his list of fittings were perfect. Mine is in and works great, only thing I used was their master cyilnder though, I went through the list D gave me and purchased all the proper fittings that were actually needed. Chase just makes universal kits and says they fit everything.. My PS kit sucked, the fittings were all the wrong sizes, the hose was terrible lenghts, and some of the lines just came to me unfinished. I didn't even get instructions with any of my stuff. I had to figure it out. I just deleted the power steering altogether to make life easier. I emailed them, I talked to them, I had Chase McMaster's Cell phone number so I could talk to him about my harness and the multiple attempts to correct it. He told me that he was sick and was out of the office when they made my harness and this and that. Took them 6 months to get the harness to me then another 6 to get things pinned correctly, then I started the car with it and went to tune it and it had improper wiring for the sensors which through fault codes and I toasted a motor due to reading my crank sensor in the inverse. My Mil-spec harness was probably the last WRX one they did. I now own a very expensive piece of copper and raychem, the whole harness needs rewired.

That's sucks about them not fitting... Any reason why you didn't just buy a universal master cylinder and then make an adapter plate... Just curious

They wouldn't return the product, so I was stuck with it. Figured I would use what I could, the master cylinder and bias adjuster worked. I used the line that went from the master cylinder to the bulk head connector.

These all look really nice, is it really difficult to do?
| 3mlwhly | 09-17-2013 10:19 AM |
That depends on how crazy you want to get... It can be simple, but if your like me you want everything, I'm cutting out side walls and even firewall and replacing it with smooth sheet metal and making all new line and hiding everything... It is very time consuming, and very very expensive.. kind if wish I would have kept it simple but I wouldnt have been happy... So eh

I went less crazy than 3mlwhly and just patched the holes. I wasn't going for a full smooth look so I think it looks better with the factory dips and ridges. Got rid of my ABS. Repainted it. A couple months later I am still working on it - although almost done.
There are times I wish I would have just left it alone and finished the engine then called it good.

I would have to agree

So who had redone their brake lines with AN lines and fittings. I really hate the way I set mine up. The passenger side is such a disaster (with the two rear lines bent into the cowl and a tee for the pass. front caliper) I had to make a "heat shield" to hide it.
I'm thinking of buying some different lengths of AN lines and redoing it.
I've seen some Hondas that do it and it looks like the AN fittings just bolt against the firewall. Can you just thread these together and treat the firewall as a sort of washer?
I'm thinking hack off the two rears somewhere near the passenger seat and tee into a single AN line. Route that up into the cowl. Route the two lines into the cowl from the master cylinder and split off whatever needs to be along with the prop valve in there as well.
I looked at the chase bay kit but one of them goes along the subframe and the other goes into the dash somewhere and I don't think it addresses the rear lines - I really want those off of the strut tower (which is why I mentioned tee'ing them back by the passenger seat).
What have you guys done? I might try the tuckmaster d-money and see if he still has a list since he mentioned that - or someone did - that their might be a list.

What I'm doing is running it threw the firewall with bulkhead fitting with an fittings on both sides not threw cowl... Then Run it to prop valve then to handbrake and tee like you said in the back... I also plan on stunning front brake lines threw firewall directly into fender wells... Will be really clean when I'm done

Are you going to stick with the stock booster or delete it? I'm half tempted to buy that chase bays booster delete. Looks so clean with that beast gone.
