Johann that's a long runner? Can you post a pic of all the stuff you shaved? Or even just tell me what vacuum fittings you left? What did you use to grind it and what kind of sheet metal/gauge is that you used for the panels? I'm about to start mine! Thanks and always beautiful work
| Bad Wagon | 04-15-2012 02:29 PM |
16g sheet metal on the sides.
Vacuum I have:
Brake booster
Hydra boost feed
Bov
Fuel reg
Boost controller is off turbo to wastegate
The mani is a longer runner that's a ver 7 jdm swap. I cut the bulk of the tabs off with a reciprocating saw and then smoothed it out with a grinder with a 36 grit sanding disc. The mani is getting a wrinkle red powder so if your going for a smooth powder you'll need to set to a 180 minimum after you finish the shaping.

Im going on 3.5 months now waiting for my wiring harness (was quoted 3 weeks). I call them 3 times a day as the car is useless now. Worst company I have ever dealt with. They made me send them the entire harness out of the car, fuse boxes and all. Almost 60lbs of wiring. Like an idiot I paid in full before I sent anything out. We have missed 4 race events already this season.
I am about to fly down there to handle it and get my stuff back. I don't think I have a choice, I have been getting lied to almost daily for months now. Otherwise the car is totaled.
This is how the car has been for the past 3.5 months now

Im going on 3.5 months now waiting for my wiring harness (was quoted 3 weeks). I call them 3 times a day as the car is useless now. Worst company I have ever dealt with. They made me send them the entire harness out of the car, fuse boxes and all. Almost 60lbs of wiring. Like an idiot I paid in full before I sent anything out. We have missed 4 race events already this season.
I am about to fly down there to handle it and get my stuff back. I don't think I have a choice, I have been getting lied to almost daily for months now. Otherwise the car is totaled.
Thats about exactly my experience. Latest snafu was his power steering "kit". The only thing I ended up using was the reservoir. His communication was terrible.
Let me guess you got the wrong fittings? Yea I have a local customer going through this right now

LOL are you kidding me? What did YOU build on your car? This is a 2600lb 700whp race car not some trailer/dyno queen.
The ONLY thing I outsourced on this car was the wiring harness because I felt that someone who specializes in wiring could do a better job and the tools/plug to do the mil-spec connector alone cost $600. They did the job for a little over a grand (if I ever get it back).
get rid of that stock intake inlet
 I don't believe that's a very good suggestion. The stock intake inlet pulls cool air in from the front of the car and directly routes it to the intake filter...
