[quote=flimflamman;38844117]This is my second Autometer dual gauge bezel. The first one was flimsy and I ended up cracking it. The second one I think I got from ImportImageRacing but it wasn't advertised as an Autometer. When it arrived there was a piece of paper in it that had Autometer stamped on it with instructions. This one was a little darker and thicker. The top does not bend down like the first one (which was annoying).

Gauges are AEM digital boost and wideband.

Got rid of both failed fiberglass pods and went generic. ATI clock pod with Tru-boost, Wideband A/F, and Aquamist. Then I have an Autometer (I beleive) cluster pod with a Prosport Oil Temp and Prosport Oil Pressure.

I didn't like the "hacked" look of the notches, so I moulded the face to the pod for a cleaner look.

I'm still playing with it. I'll mount it to shine just below my center of vision. I think then it will if I can isolate the rpms while in motion

Don't quite understand this... HUD just means "Heads Up Display", and is not a trademarked term, nor is it limited to any one vehicle.

The vette's have them stock and as well as some fighter planes. Most old guys associate HUD and car with Corvette. That was all I was saying.... lame joke sorry

IIRC, the Corvette didn't have a HUD until it's 5th generation. Off the top of my head, early 90's 240sx's as well Pontiacs had HUD's that pre-date that. That's why I was wondering why you were associating a HUD with a Corvette.

Really? I associate them with the older firebirds and grand am's

Moving on...

I just found a fuel pressure and oil temp sender on crags list.

Couple of questions, did you order the STi dark gray?

And looking at the photo, the texture doesn't match what my a-pillar has, did you replace the passenger side a-pillar to match?

I did go with the dark gray. I'm not home now, but it seemed it did match my old a pillar and the passenger side. He orders the oem a pillar and fabricates the clusters using that, so it should be the same. I can snap a picture with my old a pillar next to it and post tomorrow night.

You could also order your own oem pillar and send it to him so you'll know it matches (or send him your existing pillar, but that might look odd driving around with no pillar cover for a few weeks). I think he drops $20 off the price if you do this.
Corranhorn009 04-28-2013 12:28 PM

Again that looks awesome, pretty much sold me, just couldn't bring myself to cutting the dash. Does the lower gauge effect the side window defrost vent any? Sorry for all the questions, but I am very OCD and love an Oem look.

AEM digital gauges

Silver trims worked out awesome to match the cluster and climate controls.

Went for the oem look as much as possible. Really happy with the way it turned out!
