More crap?
Arai actually work with STi and there would be plenty of guys running around on here sporting there gear, which is actually pretty high end. The most common Arai/STi stuff would be suspension and springs (for example).
Chris.
That's cool, but why doesn't anyone run the Arai one? It holds 60mm gauges and sits nice and low. Here's a link: http://www.araimotorsport.com/en/products/interior/meter_panel.html
Chris.
I'm digging their translation:
"This is adapted design for keep driving view by get down height of meter food." ... LOL :D
I had never seen that one before.. but I want to keep my 52mm gauges and not have to upgrade to 60mm
Plus I like doing things myself instead of buying off the shelf.. more fun that way :)

I agree, those Omoris are the best match for bugeyes.

Here is what my gauges look like right now. I took this yesterday after installing them. I still need to set up the egt probe. I ordered the modified oem pod, which should be shipped today. Until that arrives, I'm going to have to enjoy them in their current ghettorigged ricer location. I'll post new pictures once everything is complete.

My gauge pod came in today and I promptly installed it.:disco::banana::disco:I'm really happy with this thing. I wanted to have gauges and I wanted to maintain a clean factory look. I think this pod was a good compromise.

Hey, thanks!! Yes, its a modified OEM triple gauge pod. I got it from ScoobyTuner. It includes a new faceplate to accomodate the 52mm gauges (LAMCOs are a little smaller) and the cover is also rounded off to fit the larger diameter gauges. Its a fairly clean look IMHO.

Cool deal. I actually just ordered one too. I got it from WRXtra.com. It looks to be the exact same pod, and judging from the description on the ScoobyTuner site, they just buy them from WRXtra and resell them.
I'm gonna fill it with the stock looking Omori gauges for a sweet sleeper/stock look.

Well, I just found out from Thaison @ J-Spec Tuning via e-mail that the Omori 02/03 look gauge is no longer being manufactured. I guess no stock matched/sleeper look for me. :sadbanana:
I think I'll just go with the Defi White Racers. They certainly don't match the OE cluster, but I still think they look great. And you can't beat the quality!

Thanks. Well, yes and no. I didn't have to trim the OEM gauge pod, but I bought a custom-trimmed OEM gauge pod from ScoobyTuner that is designed to accept 52mm gauges.
I got them from J-Spec Tuning, but as others have recently found out, I believe that Omori discontinued the 02/03 line with the yellow needles. I guess I was fortunate to order them when I did.
alright just to clearify this.
I just bought a Premium seres Prosport amber boost gauge and the color compared to my 04 sti is way off lol..
The gauge looks orange when my car cluster is red.
Is this how they are or am i wrong here ???
As one person put it "Prosport amber gauges are a true amber where other manu's amber gauges tend to be more red"

Those with Autometer bezel, how's quality compared to OEM bezel?

When I first mounted it instead of the factory piece, I felt that it stood out and was not up to the quality of the factory piece. But that was just the initial impression. I now like the way it looks. Plastic is not very thick but sturdy enough. Overall, I'd give Autometer bezel 7 or 8 out of 10.
Thanks to all for the compliments of the AP mount. 20 minutres with dremel can do wonders. DIY!

Does anyone have the ATI pod? How close is it to the color of the dash? I'm thinking Plasti Dip is the way to go...

Got me a Prosport electrical boost gauge :)
Works perfect so far, looks good and couldn't beat it for the price.

I can't decide whether to use the daytime amber for night, since it is very subtle and more of a red tint to it. Just can't see it in the day :P. One day I'll get a MadDad or Defi set if they get good MY08 clusters.
