Sorry for the shaky pics. I didn't have a tripod or anything to really support the camera with and I didn't wan't to use the flash so the exposure had to be extended... hope you like they're Defi Boost, and Oil Press. with an INNOVATE AFR gauge custom mounted in the A/C vent as well as Garmin Navi., and Pioneer Head Unit, Santa also just brought me a Cobra Radar that bluetooth links to my Iphone so this should be pretty interesting! I'll update with pics when I get back to Cali after the holidays! Enjoy!

Just installed my prosport halo boost gauge this weekend. Adapted from a thread I found a while back (sorry can't find link at the moment) on swede speed .com or something like that.
I took a 2" electrical box conduit adapter, sanded it, then painted it satin black. I removed the rear vent deflectors and cut the front vents to snugly fit the conduit.
I really had to fight with myself to go with the fighter pilot look (a few posts above) or go with more of a "stock" look. Since I had no need for switches and I don't have anything else carbon fiber, I went more "stock." In the end I am happy with the look I got.
All said and done (sorry no daytime pictures in car yet):

You'd be surprised how little it effects the heat in the vehicle. Keep it on feet warmer and front defrost and the vehicle will still be warm. Haven't had a problem losing my front vents and we get -40 celcius here in my city.

I have only been using mine for 2 days, but I haven't noticed any reduction in heating. I purposely left the vent open/close mechanism operable. In addition to that, it has a little of the vent real estate still open, so there is still some flow.

Posted this before, but not in this thread so figured I would add it. Did it when I upgraded the battery to a Yellow Top, and did the Big3. Fit nearly perfect, pretty much invisible from the outside, a good color match, and air still flows through the vent.

It's a Ultra Gauge = http://www.ultra-gauge.com
The refresh rate is about 2 times per second, so not good for boost and or RPM. But it works perfect for temp and even other readings.
Here is what I have setup (6 gauges, 2 rows of 3):
intake temp, Coolant temp
engine load, Advance timing
Mass air, lean rich (numerical)
** I am running a mechanical boost gauge on the right side.

i knew there had to be a catch. My tactrix pulls up like 20data points per second w/12 parameters...but i need my laptop right there :unamused:
id imagine if you could plug a tactrix into a tablet thats mounted like the ipad mounts, that would be super dope

With the zeitronix zt-2 you can data log through either a laptop, or with an older palm pilot (used for $60-100). Stuff it into a vent clip cellphone holder and boom! No more flying laptops!

haaaaa flying laptops??? I tend to not log flying around corners doing 100mph =b
but i do follow what yer layin down. i like the looks of that cheap one in that its easily visible, the zt-2 always seems to be mounted in a place that you can stop what your doing, check a stat n then get back to whatever mayhem you're partaking in.

Does anyone know where I can find a gauge pod like this, but facing to the left?

This is what I have. It's similar and matches the dash perfect since its oem.

Ok so they're not real gauges, but it's what I'm using as my boost gauge + misc stuff.
Galaxy Nexus in a car dock running the Torque app connected to a bluetooth OBD-II adapter.

My setup Please lower ur volume sorry in advance
Hey all,
I've had this setup for a while using a 7" touchscreen, and small mini ITX PC. The Front-end is Centrafuse 3.5. It consist of GPS, blutooth hands free cell phone, I can play all my Mp3's and vids. Plus I use a Tactrix cable and open source (RomRaider) ECU Flash etc. To tune and monitor my car. This vid is me testing out my Voice control, and focuses on the microphone pick up on top of the steering column. It also shows my usb hub setup. Sorry for the crappy quality and my loud ass voice... I'm old and deaf.. I apologize in advance...:unamused:

This is still a work in progress, and I'm going to be running a couple gauges in it for a few days to make sure everything is exactly how I want, and that the gauges are not too distracting from the road... but so far it seems to be perfect. They are right in front for easy viewing but even the highest gauge won't sit any higher than the factory STi scoop so there is almost no loss in visibility of the road. I know some will not like it, but so far I like it a hell of a lot better than any other options out there.

Here is how it follows the dash in the back. It is just rough cut for now because I still have to fiberglass the top and face... but you can get the idea...

I will try to remember to take a picture of it in the actual car from my normal viewing angle so you can get an idea how it actually looks in the car.
