What caps?
PMU clutch reservoir and brake fluid reservoir cap. Want to buy them for richy!? Haha
Nice firewall shave, why not shave into the center though after all that hard work!?
I shaved everything that I wouldn't be using for the build

Those are some sexy looking engine bays
Serkan 05-25-2013 01:48 PM

Firewall shaving looks really nice.

How come pitch mount bracket is shaved ? Do you have a substitute for that ?

Probably solid motor mounts, no need for pitch stop then

Solid motor/tranny mounts
Serkan 05-25-2013 04:47 PM

My thought is that would put way too much stress on the crossmember and to the block when car is driven aggressively.

Only way I see that working is with solid transmission mounts. Getting rid of pitch mount is not a smart move for looking pretty.

Beatrush makes them, so does groupeN, cusco, and I believe a few others

That is quite potentially the cleanest Subaru engine ever. love how you almost just blacked out the engine and just chromed out the path of the airflow, ie the turbo, pipes and intake mani. Love it!

A beam between the front legs and a intercooler :D

Have any more pics of that? That's my plan on my RS eventually, mid mount is the only way to go

Are you using a mil-spec connector for your harness? Care to share any details of the harness?

not much to share, its pretty simple to do, just time consuming.
Big-Sexy907 05-28-2013 11:50 PM

Is it mil spec though?
under0athh51189 05-29-2013 10:13 AM

I'm pretty sure they don't make a milspec for our car yet. I'm guessing he did it himself
xdrian 05-29-2013 12:09 PM

it is milspec. with subaru you cant just have one kind, every year something changes and you would need to make one for each change. plug alone is $350, labor i must have spent over a week figuring it out. if i had to charge to do a milspec harness for a suby youre looking at $2500-$3000 easy
Slight 05-29-2013 12:47 PM

rank looking bugeye!
Big-Sexy907 05-29-2013 01:17 PM

Thanks for the input xdrian, I'm hoping to go a similar route and was curious to know if there were any major problems/difficulties getting the harness together. I'm actually going to be reworking the old harness, removing wires, and then hopefully going to a single mil spec connector low on the firewall.

Can someone provide some input on what they did with the harness that goes along the passenger fender?

i cut out all the abs wiring that was on it, thats pretty much all that was on mine, and re routed the rest to come out the driver side fender side

I'm digging into mine more and it looks like mine is just ABS wiring and some other nonsense. Looks like that part of the harness will be depinned and scrapped.

Well for mine I'm running a velocity stack every where I'm just running some window screen behind it. I just put the velocity stack over it to hold it on. I have a filter for rainy days though since I'm hoodless ftw. But again I don't drive mine daily only sometimes
brcewane 06-18-2013 08:23 PM

The air filter is just sitting on there for the picture. I have an intake pipe planned that will sit over top of the intercooler pipe

I live in Washington so it rains a lot, also I opted to use the filter over the filter instead of the window screen because I've never liked mesh anywhere
brcewane 06-22-2013 10:24 PM

I made some intake pipe progress on the #TMBLER after having fun at the bike park tonight. I still need to get a filter with a 3" neck and clean up the passenger side panel/cover (fill MAF wiring hole and run PS lines under the cover)
