I bought the IAG one and had them send it to me raw/anodized. It's NOT cheap though.

I think I'm going to have to use a smaller dual pass radiator or move the Subaru koyo forward into the rad support.

Underoath - huge difference. Looking good. Your first progress pics kind of sucked. ;)

I really wish I would have painted my bay a lighter color. It's black and doesn't look nearly as good as some of these lighter ones.

under0athh51189 02-06-2014 02:32 AM

thanks guys.

so I wanna double check again before I go ahead and do it and it ends up ****ed up. I can just cut my throttle cable and put the throttle stop on it and flip my throttle body over. don't want to do this and have the throttle messed up or bad idle or anything. so what happens to the mount then I wont use it but what keeps the sleeving on the cable still or does it not matter on our cars?

thanks that helps a bit, but now what about the bracket that holds the rubber sleeve in place with the bolts. he hooked that back up. If I flip my throttle body upside down than theres no bracket to hold the sleeve its that ok or will it mess up the throttle
25rsti 02-06-2014 05:25 PM

I flipped my throttle body upside down but made a custom bracket for the issues you bring up.

They won't be there when I mount them. The lines have alot of play in them and extra cable I can move them wherever I want. They will be flush against the floor under the carpet most likely

I had to come up with a new solution turns out that no matter how tight you seal it moisture will get in and it was actually causing my cars electronics to come on without the key
05subysti 02-14-2014 09:02 AM

Uh oh lol you couldn't seal it?
under0athh51189 02-14-2014 10:58 AM

quick question for people running manual brakes with no abs or brake booster. how should they feel. I have a wilwood master and proportioning valve. the pedal is stiff as hell and kinda hard to stop even doing 40mph it takes a lot of pressure to stop. should they lock up if you slam on them cause they do not.

yes they are bled correctly and good to go
3mlwhly 02-14-2014 11:56 PM

Sounds like your master is to big, it should be a lot smaller than oem
under0athh51189 02-15-2014 07:22 AM
Sounds like your master is to big, it should be a lot smaller than oem
Its a 7/8 wilwood from ChaseBays. Should be the same
under0athh51189 02-15-2014 09:11 AM

Never mind guys. They feel better had to adjust the proportioning valve more and get used to them
3mlwhly 02-15-2014 10:18 AM

In that case how do you like it?... I was thinking about going pedal box and I'm curious how different it feels
seascooby 02-15-2014 02:45 PM

it's normal for the brake to be heavy. mine is as well. hence brake "booster" lol. :p
3mlwhly 02-15-2014 02:56 PM

I thought it was the same stiffness but more pedal travel
under0athh51189 02-15-2014 07:16 PM

Its stiffer and less pedal travel. And I love it now that im used to it. The ChaseBays Kit was great btw. Everything fit great no issues other than our crap rear line flaring job that leaked the first time. Lol we fixed it though.

Never know, they may have changed fabrication on some of their parts. I'm a little too late in the game running hard lines to try and order their stuff.
