Not my bay but a car from last year's Big Northwest Meet, seeing Token's pics reminded me of it.. Not shaved or tucked by any means, but a damn clean setup:

The Wiggin's clamps look excellent. I install them on airplanes and your bay makes them look so much more exciting than when I see them on a plane haha

If you're filling the holes on the driver's side, where do you intend to put your brake/clutch master cylinder?

Who do you guys recommend for better harnesses? Is there anything available for us (subarus) or is it just DIY?
Token-Negro 09-19-2014 11:51 PM

I did all my harness work myself on an oem one. Just bought all the same primary color wires in the same gauge. In the end I think I made most of the wiring shorter. Pins for the connectors are hard to find so I just ended up cutting and soldering every wire. It was a real pain but the car started and does not have any electrical issues to date.
25rsti 09-20-2014 07:14 AM

Cool, thanks for that. I guess that's the route I'll have to take.
kidrage 09-30-2014 09:40 PM

Getting there. Removing AC, relocating PS reservoir next to radiator, and relocating battery to the trunk over the winter.

Hey everyone. I'm not sure if anyone here has done it on theirs, but I have an 04 STi that I'm removing ABS in.

from what I understand the DCCD is controlled partially by the abs pump, or wiring or something. If anyone has done an ABS delete on an STi, can you help me with what was done, and specifically what you bought to continue the DCCD to work properly?

thanks!
explicithero 10-02-2014 07:59 AM

Well, I bought a dccd pro because it uses wheels speed sensors and its own brain.
funk32 10-02-2014 12:29 PM
or MapDccd
thanks, did either of you have an STi, and delete the ABS?

edit- i'm leaving that up there because i'm not afraid to show i'm a dummy sometimes. i see you both have STi's, and i'm assuming you deleted ABS, yes?
funk32 10-02-2014 09:40 PM

no mine is still in the car and working, but both of these systems, MapDccD (I am currently using) and DccdPro can allow the Dccd system to work without the ABS system.
explicithero 10-03-2014 08:31 AM

I did delete mine and I do run the dccd pro. It works perfectly. Tried to post an image but can't from my phone.
25rsti 10-04-2014 08:50 AM

I want to do this so bad but with so many hoses and wires everywhere it's so over whelming to me right now.
I'd like to delete the PS, ABS, my AC is gone already, washer bottle is gone, move battery to the back, do the brake booster delete, somehow get the fuel lines changed so their not coming from that obvious top drivers side and tuck as much harness as possible (seeing how no one does mil spec harnesses around me). My fuse box is already in the fender well and my engine bay still looks 1000% cluttered.
Dpwhitehead1 10-04-2014 11:25 AM

Thanks everyone you're awesome.

I have the Iag tank in the passenger engine bay corner next to the turbo the header tank on the intake manifold and power steering on the passenger side shock tower

Cleaning your engine bay before paint. Thoughts? Have the brake booster, clutch, brake lines, ac lines.... all open holes in my fire wall. Toyed with a power washer, but then i have to block them and i don't have the patience to mock up plugs so water doesn't get in, and brake cleaner is much to expensive to do a whole bay. I don't care about stripping the paint, i can throw some primer on to keep rust out, but i do care about a nice blend of cheap and easy... that won't bite me later

Changed engines recently....this is the best I could do so far. This engine has a ton more hoses and wires. I need to stop messing around and just relocate the battery and hide that ugly alternator wire.

There are so many amazing engine bays in this thread... here is my constantly evolving project:

Where it's at now... extended engine bay harness to relocate fuse box into front area of quarterpanel... battery in trunk in a JEGS setup with in-line circuit breaker and distribution block, and sheet metal along the engine bay sidewalls and where the battery tray was ripped out.

Current plans are to relocate the fuse box from the quarterpanel to underneath the bumper beam in a sealed junction box. Also plan to relocate the boost control solenoid and other crap from the passenger side into some enclosed box underneath the tray sitting over the firewall.

Someday I'll get around to inverting the ABS pump and rerouting the hard lines through the passenger quarterpanel :\

Have you considered possibly running your intercooler piping on the passenger side like shown below? It's just a suggestion but it would really bring a better symmetry to your engine bay.

Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but I figured I would try and be constructive :)

As an example, here have been a couple of engine bay configurations that I've went with.. First one was before I went rotated mount turbo. The second one is my current configuration. Both have the passenger side piping tuck down the same way it does on the driver's side.
