stirobot, that's hot :D i'm gonna try and squeeze my defi's in one of those cluster pods when they get here. i think i can dremel it out enough. you got a pic of the paint you used ? looks great

I used this: http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=27 but only because i had a it in the house. Its specifically made for metal applications.
You'd probably be better off using this product (and applying a clearcoat):
http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=122
I believe someone in the plasti dip thread has sprayed plastidip on his pod and got a similar result.

Has anyone ever seen a decent, car mountable lateral g-meter? I don't really want to go to a g-tech, but would be interested to see some handling numbers without calculating them out.

the auto meter bezel will NOT fit the 08 WRX. every part of the dash is completely redesigned. and the A pillar has a side curtain air bag so while mounting gauges down low on the A pillar should be fine - dont go higher than 1/2 way up.

it seems to be accurate just put your GVW in and it gives you 1/4, 1/8 mile, 0-60, top speed and HP.
The accelerometer depends on where you mount so you will get a better reading of G's if mounted in the center of gravity. so far i have pulled 0.80G's in the turns with tein flex's and stock bridestone tires:banana:

60mm... fits great....i didn't notch it. i heated it up and stretched it out with a bottle  well i did cut a slit at the very bottom. i used a dremel to to take out the lip that was on it. it wasn't terribly hard, but takes some work. i love it. it isn;t show quality perfect, but it works and looks pretty cool to me. i've wanted a set up like this since i saw my brother in laws' teg with it back in the day....here's some better pics

The pics suck and dont do it any justice. I'll try to get some better one's soon. But for now these will do. It matches perfectly. Nice and bright too! Enjoy.
I have Prosport electric boost, egt, and oil pres. The stock green cluster was way to dim so I sent the cluster to Interior Flaire and had it changed to match the Prosports with stage gels and LED's. The pics suck and dont do it any justice. I'll try to get some better one's soon. But for now these will do. It matches perfectly. Nice and bright too! Enjoy.

If you'd actually bothered to read the text you quoted, you'd see Interior Flaire did it. Berk.

Autometer sport comp boost/egt, the boost monkey, autometer gauge pod and avc-r. I have a tuna as well but no pics, I can't decide what to fill the last hole with. Any suggestions?

Yea Interior Flaire scraped the stock green film off and put a brighter green stage gel behind the faces and then put a crap load of LED's in it.

NP. It just shocks me how often this happens on NASTYSHACK. "Here, I'll quote some text that answers the question that I'm going to ask below the quote!"
I'm sure I've done it too though.
How did you make the shift pattern on top of the shift knob red? Did you buy that or DIY?
I removed the shift pattern with a plastic knife. Then I sanded from the underside. came back with some red spray paint. Allowed everything to dry. Then pollished the top with some scratch-X. This is the same way you can do the front emblem.

I think the 3 gauges in the middle is cool but i have my valentine1 radar concealed display behind the clock and i didn't want to lose that so i went with the dual dash bezel
