Oh yeah, it's an autometer gauge bezel with boost and narrow band:rolleyes: AF gauges and an ATI clock pod with oil psi, fuel psi, and EGT. Clock pod, radio bezel, and vent surrounds painted tool dip black. I installed it all (as with everything on my rig).

There are a few people on here who have also built their own A-pillar pods for the 08+. I know L_SCHLEGS has done his. 3 gauges, if I'm not mistaken. He has a pictorial of his car somewhere on here (or IWSTI).

Current setup: Blitz 60mm BLM gauges (Black Light + Carbon Face)
-Boost
-Oil Pressure
-Oil Temp
-EGT (not installed)
Boost and Oil Temp in a modified Autometer bezel (to fit 60mm)
Just did the vent the other day. Was pretty easy. Didn't have to remove entire dash. Best part about it is how I mounted the gauge. I took the vent apart, turned it around, removed the knob and plastic piece that blocks the air flow, put the gauge in and used a washer between the bolt and nut on the back of the gauge to hold it in place. It's rock solid and I can rotate it just like the vent. And if I ever sell the car I can take the gauge out, flip the cup around, put the plasic pieces back into it and put it back to stock in about 5 minutes.
Oil temp/press gauges wont work until next oil change when i can put my sandwich adapter in. Im trying to figure out where to put the EGT gauge.

The only issue is I am NOT going to have a clock pod OR A pillar mounted gauges, so I dont know where to put the EGT.
Future plans:
-Wideband O2...that custom ash tray mount looks absolutely beastly for it. Does anyone know of a good Blue wideband?
-Blue LED Cluster and HVAC controls.
-Pioneer AVICF90BT

Anyone know where to get an A-pillar gauge pod and a gauge pod for the dash for my car?
| blk05wrx | 09-23-2009 05:04 PM |
OK, I got everything in, sort of.
There is a slight gap on the pod that I'm going to fix this weekend. I just need to do a little adjustment, but I ran out of time on Sunday.
The oil pressure doesn't work, so I've got a new sender coming and I'm going to get the relocation kit also b/c it's pretty much impossible to install the galley plug and the ProSport performance series sender in the space provided.

Since I lost the clock, I used this opportunity to replace the headunit with a nav/ipod/bluetooth unit. It works great. I ran the microphone up the a-pillar, and the nav antenna sits below the gauge cover.

It's the f700bt. You can only customize the start up screen (I'm sure there's a hack out there to set a background). I just happened to grab the pic while it was booting up. You can upload any photo you want from the SD card.

I need to get a pic of the inside of my Wagon... lots of gauges and warning lights, switches etc.
But for now, here is a shot of the inside of my turbo 2 door 4-runner :D

LOL.. it was my attempt at a space ship
Actually the whole project is overkill. It's an 87 4Runner.... I put together a fully built 22ret, custom headwork and cam, fully forged, upgraded everything (oil pump etc.) SDS stand alone.. IPT stall, partial cage (not finished).... you see where I'm going with this...
And actually every gauge is useful: (too someone like myself who is gauge happy)
-Boost
-EGT
-Wideband
-Tach
-Oil pressure
-Oil temp
-A/T oil temp
-Water Temp
-Water temp warning light
-Oil press warning light
-Turbo Timer
-Radar Detector
-The programmer for the SDS stand alone
Switches and misc stuff....
Wow, hardly anyone here like A-pillars?
I personally think A-pillars are harder to do right, most A-pillar jobs just look tacky... In order to do it right you have to get a hold of an extra A-pillar cover and fiberglass some pods into it and then spend the time to sand make it look professional. Otherwise you end up with something that looks like garbage and could give your car that rice feeling.
I really like the pod for around the stock gauge location. I think that's where I will be adding some stuff into mine. I also wouldn't mind coming up with a display to go right on-top of the dash right above the stock gauges for easy viewing but I'll have to do some more digging for good LED displays and so on.

I fixed the gap. Looks totally factory now. The Prosports are a little bit bright at night. Certainly brighter than the factory gauges.

I also installed the relocation kit. Much, much easier. The instructions say it can be done without removing the intercooler. It can't. If you're going to use the galley plug for your oil pressure gauge, get the relocation kit.

Wow, they really that hard? :(
I just ordered a 3 gauge pillar, so here goes nothing.

they are actually gauges intended for the legacy GT, but with the impreza gauge pack housing, they bolt up just fine:
