thanks for the comments guys. it was pretty easy to do. i didnt have a heat gun like i wanted but i used a butane torch at the lowest i could make it. it was my first project using the 3m di noc and i will say it was great. i wanted to do something small like this just to see if making tight curves and getting into small areas was possible. this stuff is amazing it did everything i wanted, once i learned how to stretch the material as you go around corners. it just took me a trial to learn what it possible. my first attempt at the front cover went bad, i burnt the carbon fiber off a couple spots from over heating. i feel a ton more confident to go ahead an do some of my larger interior pieces but using a heat gun. before i go ahead with that i want to see how this stuff looks with a layer or two of some clear coat on it to see if you can get the look of wet carbon fiber and not the dry carbon fiber. if it doesnt work i would stil be happy with the dry carbon fiber look. i have neffy wrap also and the 3m di noc looks way better and is 10x times easier to use
