autometer gauges in the oem pod. After the first time at the track, i 're-clocked' them so "normal" readings are straight up. It was too hard to read quickly when the needle was buried at the bottom right of the gauge.

Thats wierd as hell. I think some people try to make it easier for them to read the gauges and in the end it doesnt work out. I have my Omori`s tilted so slightly that you`ll think they`re level.

Fugly. I wanted a pod that retained the clock as well but that is hideous IMO. In the end, I went with a clock-less triple pod and am mounting a clock/thermometer elsewhere in the car.

more or less every race car out there runs their gauges so that normal is strait up. There's really no need at all to 'read' a gauge, it's only there to tell you if somethings not right. So if you know that strait up is good, then you can quickly glance and see if anything is not strait up. Just from looking at he gauges, I can tell you that he runs 15PSi, and wants to have an EGT of around 1500*. Can't do that with gauges which are set so that they're 'right side up'

As for the dual pyrometers, one is set so that ~1500* is normal, and the other so that ~600* is normal, so they're obviously reading very different things. EGT and water temp?

A 600F water temp would be pretty freaking hot! Might be for different cylinders or locations in the exhaust.

i had to drill a hole in the dash underneath the pod for the vacuum line. There's no way that it will squeeze between the panels.

I just squeezed them in underneath the pod at the junction of the three panels there. I fished the wires from my center gauge pod which is wired on the same circuit as the clock pos was. Pics coming to show my update, 4th gauge. Next I am doing the gauge [U][URL="http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3115"]dimmer mod[/URL][/U].

I ran wires up the side of the dash and cut a hole in the base of the A-pillar cover (it's cheaper than the dash if I need to sell the car and want to save the gauge)

I used alcohol on the side of the pillar so that the double sided tape would work better. I've had the Subiegal pod on the left for a year now without any problems. I'm here in Florida so it gets hot and I've never had a problem. Try not to have extra wires so having just enough wire prevents it from moving around.

I noticed that too. Glad to know it's not just mine. It is some form of resin fiberglass. I am hoping the smell subsides with age.

Hilarious...so I'm not the only one eh? That's the biggest reason I still haven't put it on (had it for probably 6-12 months now). And no, the smell hasn't gone away.

I read this thread on here somewhere where they changed the color of the speedo/tach/fuel/temp. But i can't find it anymore.

Was this a custom job, or can this be bought and installed? If so, where and for what year subies? I just must have that setup, I've looked through this whole thread page-by-page, best so far I've seen.

Ive got gauges in my glove box. My entire Alky system is monitored in the glove box. And yes it does open/ close just fine.

Ok, finally, here are mine. Maddad V2 Clarity in Autometer pod with gauge visors. I also have the OEM boost gauge, a Kocklite and a colour-matched clock/calendar/thermometer mounted on the little visor above the mirror. Oh, and ignore the wideband, it's temporary. :)

that pod's cool and different and all but i like how the stock gauge pod is 'boxy' to match the hood scoop, as this circular arc one doesnt match it that well. I admit though, other than that, it does look nice in the cabin
