2007 SCCA Solo Nats. check-in thread. Registration is OPEN.
Get your numbers while you can... first come, first served! Might as well make this the check-in thread too.

wrx2.0 555 03-23-2007 01:52 PM

Only 6 months left and I have no idea....

I need a co-driver with a tow vehicle or I'm probably not going. Unless I switch roles maybe and codrive Mike Kings STS2 car, but given the field in that class, there's not much hope for me.......

I'd prefer to stay in my car in STS and kick KC's ass..........maybe...........well....maybe not....:(

They need a TBD class.

My options right now include.... DS WRX, AS STi and my own little STS/STX RS.

Damn.... all Subarus. I need to change my screen name. :(

So...are you going to run ladies or open class this year? If you run the Salisbury AS STi, you'll have good competition in Denise Cashmore. Would be nice to see you crowned as a Nat'l champ after all these years Karen!

-Chike

P.S. I'm out for this year, and won't be making the trip (wife & I are expecting a baby in June). However, come '08, I'll be doing at least two Nat'l Tour Pro Solos and going to Topeka for the Finale...
pjhe 03-23-2007 02:05 PM

i'd love to see someone take a championship in the faststeak car :)

Congrats on the youngun....:)..

As for me...its a very slight maybe .....My fathers 75th birthday is that week...and my mom planned a surprise birthday party for him...so guess who gets to hang out with the Rents...not that I mind that....it just I can't seem to shake "something" going on that week for the last 3 years...

So for now...I am going to try...

thats all I can do..

Um, the AS STi I mentioned is actually not Evanthe's car, it's my friend Meredith Najewicz, from Atlanta.

And, well.... no offense, but I don't really consider a ladies class championship to be the same caliber as an open class championship. :(

Gotcha - that was some impressive driving you did in the Salisbury AS STi last year in BSP! ;)

Good luck in whatever class you decide to compete in this year! Bring home wood.
And, well.... no offense, but I don't really consider a ladies class championship to be the same caliber as an open class championship. :(
Ditto. Not to say I won't still race ladies classes on occasion (especially when co-drives are in the picture), but I've just decided that I'd rather take the remote chance at a real national championship, since history has shown that I'm probably gonna suck in either ladies or open anyway. ;)

Oh, and just finished registering (#177 STX).
Crash477 03-23-2007 06:53 PM

How can that not be the best excuse? It *IS* money well spent. It just can't be argued.

Definitely gonna be going again, probably register next week.

Should be interesting locally here this year. The Olson BMW got purchased by a guy to the north of me and Neal Tovsen has parked his SM Scirrocco this year to co-drive with him instead. He already put in FTD at the first dmvr event last weekend and I'm hopin to see him down at our first event april 1st. Of course, I'm hoping even more to have my konis back from ProParts by then :furious:
jcroy66 03-24-2007 10:18 AM

Tovsen's going to be competing in STX this year? National events too?
alltracin 03-24-2007 10:20 AM

Neon- 6 STS
Maybe- WRX- 6 DS at the finale.

KC, I'm coming to kick your rear
