Tl Bugeye Retro!!!

just about done with my retrofit in my bugeye.still have a few small adjustments to make,i think im gonna leave a little bit of chrome on the top for the indicator light from my extra set of lights.lemme know what you guys think.
parts used:
-OEM bugeye headlights
-OEM acura tl projectors
-custom made shrouds
-OEM bmw zkw ballasts
-OEM 4300k osram bulbs
-a dremel and a lot of patience.
the entire process took about 3 days,im just waiting for the bulbs to come in the mail,so i just put them on real quick to snap some pics.i will post more pics up soon!!enjoy.....

yea i took pictures of the entire process(which is a long one becuase these projectors are huge!!) but the other pics are on my girls camera so i gotta get em from her.theres not really a diy writeup u can do for a retro but i will post up pics and try to explain each step the best i can.im actually gonna try to get some local bugeye owners together and see if they want my services.pm me if anyones interested.

Now, all what you need is swap the stock lenses with ZKW clear lenses, so you can get brighter output and COOL cutoff like this one:cool:

not to be a dick, but i think the projector surround looks a little goofy. overall the retro is sick, but i dunno, something about the surrounds doesn't look right. alright, upon closer inspection, the outline of the surround doesn't quite match the curve of the housing. super close, but the curve is just a little off imho. i bet you'll love the better output tho.

well if youre talking about the inside of the shrouds not matching the curve of the lens,the shrouds are just sitting in there for now,i cant permanently fasten them in there until i hook them up and aim them.as for the outside of the shroud,the shroud is a perfect circle and the curve right on the outside of it on the headlight is not so there really is no way to make the curves match up.

the custom shrouds are made from some lawn lamps and abs plumbing pipe.mind you these are not complete yet,the shrouds and the headlamp lenses are not fastened yet,i just threw it together really quick to get some pics.and i think im going to be using the chrome trim piece from the headlights that are currently in my car,with a little bit of chrome at the top,like this.....

haha yea yea im workin on the lenses,hard to find for a halfway decent price,at least ill have crazy output for now.
as for the shrouds,i wanted something with more sharp,defined lines......ive seen some that look kinda funny with round/circular shrouds,it makes the car look "scared" lol.....i was tryin to make it look kinda mean and pissed off.........but everyone is going to have different opinions im not offended at all.

WOW dude! I don't really like the eye lids or your yellow fogs but those lights are possibly the coolest do it yourself custom job I have ever seen. You got skills

haha yea i dont think im gonna do the eyelids,and i might get some stock fogs again and retro yellow capsules into them so they shine actual yellow,unlike those "yellow jdm" bulbs lol.
