Subaru paint sucks ballz!

I am serious man, I am so f-ing sick of this garbage!
I only have 16k miles on my car and the lower part of the doors by the front tires look like someone sprayed white paint on the red paint!
The thing is, nobody sprayed white paint! THE WHITE IS F-ING PRIMER!
Has anyone ever taken Subaru to court over this garbage? I have never taken my car off road or to a rally, just normal driving conditions.
This garbage is pathetic, this is a new car.

LOL . I painted two doors on a 05 on some used lot and it had massive amounts of chips on the lower half of the doors. Are you sure its not paint or can you feel chips with your nails? I would just touch it up since it�s down low.
I have not had any problems with paint on my 02 besides normal wear and tear

Dude, the red paint is chipped off down to the white primer, the paint just sucks man.

I forgot to mention that the lower half of doors have an orange peal effect/feeling to protect from these chips

Well you can always use an air brush and spray the crap out of all the chips with a one stage paint with its own special clear and then wipe off all your over spray, then your thousand chip problem would look a whole lot better

Hey.. you think that is bad... my STI is white.. and the primer is black (or the body molding is black).
I only have 1000 miles and have a pretty good size rock chip in my front bumper.. and sure enough it is a nice black colored chip.. looks really good with my WHITE car :rolleyes:

Seriously, you sure a toothpick and touchup paint wouldn't do the trick? I fix them every other car wash. It's just one of those things. At least the whole hood doesn't lose it's paint like Dodge Dakotas and many other American cars from the 80's. I'm not saying the paint isn't weak, cuz it is...but suck it up...all cars have disadvantages.

the worst color to buy a suby in is any red color, esp the san remo red. it is the most brittle color currently offered for whatever reason, and they have been recieving complaints about it. search and you'll find a couple of my posts about what dealers have said, etc.

LOL :lol: I know how u feel...I am currently in a situation myself where the roof has four rust spots, the hood has 5 spots where sap ate through it in a matter of one hour (i guess it must have been super sap :rolleyes: ......according to subaru atleast) and bubbles on my trunk. The regional rep is suppose 2 get back 2 me tommorrow about warranty coverage......all i have 2 say is they better say yes or there is going to be a big complaint to SOA.

It seems to be getting worse to me. My 2002 RS is white and has very few chips, while my 2004 WRX gets chipped if you stare at it and dents in the wind. It's like the metal has gotten thinner along with the paint.

Yes, my car is ~2 months old, I will repaint my doors soon... Then definitely want to put 3M protection film on the bottom :|
