New hood design.. thoughts?

Well i wan to buy a carbon hood for my car, but dont want the full carbon look. I figure if i dont paint it ill just put my STi scoop on it. If i paint it i want the middle that follows our hood lines blue, and the outs carbon. Something like this, what do you think?

What about reversing that design and having the carbon in the middle, and getting a CF hoodscoop?

Someone on this board has one like that. A bue one with painted black sides.
It was someone's car from the OT, I think he's from vegas or there abouts. Sorry, that's all i remember though.

Well the hood will come with the scoop.. so i can swap mine any time. Its just a matter of what side of the tape to paint haha

I vote for black center with painted outers.

i prefer the c/f center by far. c/f on both sides with none visible anywhere else is very distracting and screws up the balance of the cars lines imo.

yea, i like the middle cf... weather the hoodscoop is cf or not doesnt matter to me, i just dont like the sides cf.

i say if you do that to your hood, have the sides that are not cf see thorugh.. that's MY idea.. but feel free to steal it:)

Leave the middle carbon. The scoop doesn't matter if it's blue or CF. It will look good either way.

So your saying mix both my ideas? have the center carbon and outters painted, yet just have a transparent blue over lay? Its pretty easy itll just be a tad bit lighter blue then the car

If you must have the CF poking out.. just do it from the rear of the hood and around the scoop where the indentation is. When you run the CF all the way to the leading edge of the hood, it looks like the hood doesn't fit properly.

I wonder, what does a GC look like with this paint job?!?! I'm seriously thinking about doing this to my summer project Impreza L > Monster. Becuase i do NOT like the 95 L red paint... lol

Black middle works the best I think because there is that black thing at the top of the lower front intake in the front bumper. You could get a carbon cover for that too. And then get a carbon rear wing and you will match front to back and top to bottom.
