Track Day Video @ NHIS

Finally got the video all edited up of my last track day of the season.
Visual Assault Racing and Zero Stage Monster take New Hampshire International Speedway by storm for a super-fun day of track fun and excitement. Enjoy.
Thanks to google video for the hosting. Best viewed with zoom set to "Double-size".

glad you enjoyed it. I did too.
my favorite passes were the Supra, and the 911 GT3. Yea, it was a driving school, but that doesn't mean people were driving slow.

If you had read the post above yours, you would've seen i called it a school. Nowhere else did we call it a race.

Yea, that car was scary. He had to turn the boost way down because he spun twice on corner 4, too much boost kick, and got kicked out on the first day of the event.

So... are there point-bys happening? Or can you just not see them in the video? (I see some)
Recording your HPDE "kills" is pretty lame, IMHO.
oh jeez, it gets better.

"Wangan * Touge * Gymkhana * Circuit Attack"
Which one of those is "track day"?
I am glad to see you have already been harassed:

We're all about fun. We don't take our "kills" seriously, nor our website. Its all for fun. The only thing we take seriously is being as safe as possible on the track. You can't be serious when your teams name is generated online on one of those "Racing Team Name Generators".
We expect harrasement from those who don't understand the joke, or those who just aren't JDM enough.

I sincerely hope to see some of your l33t passing skillz and HPDE killz at some COM events. Perhaps you can also make another video, although I would request that you put a big "-4" on the screen when the RyanC/re92/stumpz/zip4zat STI train runs by you so fast your car stalls in the vacuum left behind by our huge wings. Yo!

Looks like a fun, tight track. Who put this event on? I just got back from a Chin/Tracquest event at Barbers here in b'ham and they are a class act. You guys should make a roadtrip down south and come to Barbers, RoadAtlanta, or Roebling if you can next year!
Good sense of humor, it still feels fun to pass 911s, even if they are not running all out.
Oh, what run group did organizer put you in? I noticed point bys from some drivers, no point from others? Just curious.

Hey, doghauler -
I was the one in the white STi at Barber. Didn't know you're on this forum too.
I used to live in New England, and have done track days with a bunch of the NESIC folks at NHIS and elsewhere. In fact, at the very first TracQuest east coast event at Watkins Glen in 2001, there were like 6-7 Subarus there.
But most of those tools (not all) are too lazy to drive past NHIS or Lime Rock. ;) I've asked them to go to Mid-Ohio and Barber on the NESIC board, but never got an answer.

It was pretty interesting to see cars running the full NHIS circuit. I race the Loudon Road Race Series on a motorcycle so like I said, it was neat to see cars running the track.
I know passing is tight on bikes on that track, it must be even tighter in cars.
Too bad they take out the turn 12 chicane. But I could see that as a major traffic jam area.
So what kind of lap times (range) do STI's make around that track? I do 1:16's on a bike (LRRS track record 1:11). Wonder what kind of time you can do in a car with 4 wheels of grip.
Hopefully next season I will be able to find a day that a car club is running before an LRRS race weekend. That way I can put the bike in the van and put the car on a trailer behind it. It would be pretty sweet to do a track day in the car before practicing for race day on the bike.
Wonder if doing laps in the car will make me a faster bike racer? LOL. In the least I might have a bit more appreciation for the speed of the bike. Or just how nuts we are to go as fast as we do around that track on a bike.

I got gridded on the last row in a 30+ person race because I registered late. Fortunately, it wasn't an issue as you will see. I thoroughly spanked the competition. :disco:

STI lap times will depend on the configuration. In the dry, on the chicane-chicane configuration (what you run on the bike), a quick STI will run sub 1:20s. I think my best unofficial time was a mid 1:18, that's on RA-1 race rubber. For the North chicane-south oval config, which I don't think bikes run, it'd be a few seconds faster. I think I ran a 1:15.6 or so in the dry, but the last two time trials were wet so we didn't run that config.
