Just keep in mind that if you get a dark color, you will be spending alot more time trying to keep it looking clean and scratch-free.

Best way to see what colors you like is to go to a big car show :) I just recently went to the Logan car show which consisted of about 900 cars. Mostly domestics, but i definitely saw some really nice paintjobs.

I've got some connections so I am also planning on redoing the paint on my car. The problem with changing the color is that you must strip the car, jam it, and redo everything. Otherwise, it will not look right. If you stick to a color similair to the Silverthorne, than you may be able to get away with just painting the exterior.

If you do everything yourself, you are probably looking at $800-1500 in just paint. Costs go up from there.

Some of my favorite colors are waaay too dark to be practical, but I have become fond of Steel Blue Mica. The other color I am considering is a blue very similiar to the blue found on a Shelby Cobra. However, the trick is that the paint would be a basecoat of metallic or silver with multiple pearl blue coats to achieve a vague camellion blue. I'm just not much of a fan of the light blues. Obviously its rather hard to explain, but I think it would look good on a scooby. To each his own I suppose.

Silver metallic blue or bright yellow! I'll probably paint mine silver metallic blue one day.

Steel Blue Mica

Man steel blue mica has got to be the ugliest color I have ever seen. Just down right nasty!!! Yuck!!! Spit!!! Vomit!!! Yellow is really nice, and not too many Impreza's with it. To each their own though.

steel blue look the **** man....you're crazy! and paint will cost me close to nothing, just labor is all i really have to pay for : ) it will be done right. that means everyhting will be painted. i spend about 3 hours a week on keeping my car looking good, i use at least 3 stages when washing. so taking care of it shouldnt be a problem.

You want a kick ass color? Try the blue off of the new Volvo concept car, forgot what it's called, but I'm gonna go look for a picture. It's just a brilliant color.

hers a cool color

AFAIK I have the only Steel Blue Mica in the US. It truly is a wonderful color. Here is another color that I think looks pretty cool.

My suggestion

I would suggest a Gunmetal gray or an anthercite. It would be easier to do than many other colors since your car is already silver. If you didn't want to pain the engine bay or something you would be all set. Also it would just look damn sharp.

Steel Blue Mica.

Anthracite wheels. Anthracite tires(it could happen). Anthracite interior. Anthracite headlights, tailights, side blinkders, .

Anthracite body paint. Anthracite sunglasses. Anthracite clothing.

huh?

Dude, you on crack? That is enough paint to do about 5 cars!

A gallon of paint (+/- a quart) with reducers is more than enough to do a complete car color change. I know because I just re-did my Aegean Blue to Dakkar Yellow... Eurethane paints run about 50-75 bucks a quart...reducers are 15 bucks...and these are the expensive ones from PPG.

Yes, a complete color change is a pain in the but because you have to strip the car all the way down and paint every nook and cranny or it will show through when you get it all back together.

Here's a good looking paint color: Steel Grey off the Impreza 2.0 Turbo RB5
