I want to modify the headlights and hood

I would like to add an angle to the front hood so that it angles down on the front headlights rather than curving over the headlights.
Anyone know anybody who can make this headlight assembly if I send a CAD file or just a basic measurement?
I think I might be able to find someone to build the hood.

yeah just to clarify it's eauto's sti(i think?) and i photoshopped the boser hood to show just how dumb it looks.

It may be the ARC markings on the FMIC that give it the mean look, but it looks alright to me

... unless you OWN a plastics/machine shop and are willing to pay your guys to make this for you.. you are going to pay out the @$$ to make this work.
Prototype headlights are big bucks... the only reason you can find them for $1000 is because they are bought in bulk and made in molds.
Same goes for the hood.
You'd be better off making eyelids... unless you have all that cash to waste, in which case.. PM me, and I'll talk to you about getting it done for a rediculous price so I can buy my JDM Drivetrain :lol:

I've had a couple people already tell me they wish the 06 front end looked like that.... new 06 headlights with the same front grill basically.
I think that gives the car a great 'mean' look. Kinda of an inbetween of the 05 and 06 headlights.

If you want your front end to look like that, might as well do an 06 front end conversion. I think the headlights have a pretty agressive look. If it can be done. It'll probably be cheaper too than to have someone do that for you on your recent car.

you have to do an 06 front swap, unless im wrong, the 06 lights wont go in without hood, light brackers, fenders, and some other misc

looks like someones been trolling around on the vwvortex mk4 forums to have come up with this idea. let euro be euro and dont boser a wrx. if you do decide to do it then more power to you. to each his own.

All I wanna do is take my 05 headlights, cut them at the top at an angle, and the seal them back up. Then fab the hood to fill in the gap.
If anyone can host the file image, I'll be happy to post it on here.

coming from three years on vwvortex, i hate to say VWs do not cut the headlights, there is actual metal welded on the hood and over the head lights, your CRAZY if you think you can cut the top of your headlight off and make it work without it looking like a fish tank :confused:
